Lack of Air Flow (Floor Vents)

I've made a search for this in Canada East, so forgive me if it happens to exist under another topic.
I'm aiming this primiarly to the people in the colder weather region. The floor vents (both passenger and driver sides) don't seem to blow enough heat out. My feet are cold no matter how high I blast the thing. I've even brought it up with the service guy and he admitted (finally) that it was a design flaw that many people have noticed already.
Is anyone having the same freakin' problem? How can then make such a mistake...especially to those up in the colder regions where heat is a neccessity. I've never really considered that to be a main item to look at when I was looking to buy a car. But now I know for future purchases. On those VERY cold days (and we've been having a lot of those here in T.O.), I've seriously considered giving up this car and looking for another.
Anyways, just wanted to know if there was anyone out there experiencing the same problem.

I encountered the same issue before, I brought it to the dealership and all they told me is to close the other vents if I want to use the floor vents to give it more air flow. Pretty stupid but it works (of course) but it sux that I have to go through this process just to warm up my cold, stanky feet!!

I have the same problem too. When I mix the airflow, Defroster and floor, I find that my head will be steaming hot and my feet will be cold. I now only use the defroster setting if my windows are foggy or icey.
Instead what I do is set it just to the floor and everything is fine. It still keeps my body and head warm (because hot air rises... duh ) and my feet comfortable. Give it a try.
If that doesn't work, it would always be cheaper to invest in a thicker pair of socks rather then buying a new car

I've actually tried closing all of the other vents, but then my windows start fogging up REAL quickly. Whatever it is, this "design flaw" really sucks. Don't get me wrong, I love driving this thing in the summer, but when it's cold, it's not the best. Plus, this stock tires suck...but that's a whole other story. Time to get some better treads...
Anyways, thanks to all who replied.

maybe you had the re-circulate button enabled... It never fogged up on me even when it's on the floor vents. Oh well, have fun with it!
