RX-8 is a doomed failiure...
It's not sharp as S2000 or 350Z... and it's slower... yet cost the same.
Then somebody argues, well there's 2-extra seats and 2-extra doors (cramped seats, & cramped doors mind you)... then you could just get a Subaru WRX, for less, and beat the RX-8 silly. Or pay the same, and get the WRX STi and REALLY beat the RX-8 silly.
There's no market for RX-8.. unless you are a rotary freak.

Ford only had some influence in suspension tuning.. european ford, mind you.
Engine's still 100% mazda.. developed in japan, but japanese engineers. I don't think American Ford engineers are intelligent enough to understand rotary engines... they were dissing it anyway.
Besides, Ford only makes V6 and V8 engines now.. anything less than that, including rotaries are responsible by Mazda.
