Nokian snow tires: comments
like supyo had said b4... they're over rated but good for its price.
theres like a few cms already around my area....
and before i picked up my sister... went to an empty parking lot and tested them....
i know im not suppose to speed or brake the way i did in the parking lot... but had to test the quality...
one test... without even slamming the brakes... but applied it hard. without applied off/on break method... car was slidding a bit sideways... so about only 70% control of the car....
but whenever a car slides, it basically mean you've already lost control of the car..... i guess sometimes abs is good in the winter... but still consider not as safe as non abs breaks in the winter. where you can just manually apply the off/on break method.
when i slammed on the brakes. the car was basically out of control... took about a 15 degree turn and slid.....but since i shouldnt be slamming on the breaks.. didnt consider that as a test of the quality of the tires in my opinion.
these lil's tests i took was at speeds of 45kms to 60kms
but while going at 40kms.. and breaked normally... they were good... i still felt a little sliding since i knew the tires werent sticking to the snow.... but at any time while i was starting off from a stop.... the wheels slid a bit as well... even though they're not promoted like the Blizzacks.. as stick to snow and ice... i dont think nokians are rated at the level
but i've never seen test results of the snow tires that were tests.. read that someone looked at it.. but i wouldnt know which site to check it.
my two cents.
i did some more . but dont remember 'em all, if i do, i'll just post

my BF Goodrich saved my *** couple of days ago.. I was side-wiped by some bitch who didn't check her blind spot.. the only tihng I could do to avoid her was to slam on my brakes, since I had no where to go. Except I was on muddly slush.. but my car immediately slowed down, without any drama... very linearly, didn't swirve or anything. Whew..
