Any ideas? Cost too.
Been to Home Depot. They have "sheets" of 2' x 2'. I've even been to a couple of metal shops.
Nobody knows where to find this stuff for sure???

hehe.. my real name is chris, but i dont think that mike knows that.. lol

i think he retails the mesh for 35, so you shouldnt have a problem getting it at that price

oh.. and i just checked, the sheet that i got was the 35" X 11" and that was enough to go across the main part of the bottom

the middle part of that... (just not the part where the factory fogs go)

Chris, aka "Falcon", I'm Christian. Pretty close eh?

I need to make some time to see Mike now. 35 *11 is just what I'm after.
You now must get pics of your grill if its from behind the bumper. I was planning to going to my friends metal shop as that we can doing some welding to make a GrillCraft replica. I'd like one that sits in the front, but if yours looks good, I might just do it instead.

R1Style, I've never heard of Foliatec. I'll do some research on this now...

xian: FoliaTec is just an aftermarket company that's big in Europe. I don't know if they make a grill for a 7th Gen Civic but the reason why I mentioned them was because Unauthorized Performance had an aftermarket grill made by FoliaTec hanging on their wall when I went in the other day. I don't know if it's universal or for a specific car but it's there. If it's universal... you gotta be the guinea pig

Oh, that grill!!! I remember seeing that grill back in the summer. I think it was selling for ~$130. It looked pretty good. Do you remember the colour?

hehe.. i know about 3 other italian guys named chris... it can get confusing.. lol

it might be difficult to get the mesh to look like a grillcraft grill
i've seen people do it, and sometimes it just turns out bad... if you really want that look, you should probably just go with grillcraft (i think its somethin like $130)

EDIT: btw, thanks to whomever i stole the original pic from in members rides... i cant remember

one last thing xian...

i just checked the links you put up of the foliatec.. and the stuff i have looks just the same

$130 for that is kinda outrageous.... you should be paying somethin like that for a ready made grill.. not just mesh

Oh, sorry, that was for the ready made grill hanging on Mike's wall. I was wanted to know which type of grill it looked similar too.
Sorry for the confusion.

I don't remember exactly what it looked like but atleast you know what I'm talking about. I also didn't know that it was $130 so I guess that is out of the question.

If you find anyplace that carries nice sheets of aluminum mesh... let me know... I might try making my own upper grill.

Hey Xian. If Mike at Unauthorized can't get you the mesh for $35 or if it takes a while to order, go to Canadian Tire. I did my lower grille with the APC mesh for $49 at the Crappy Tire by White Oaks Mall. You will have plenty left over. The mesh comes in a variety of colours like blue, red, and silver. I got the silver.

I never thought about ordering the mesh from Crappy Tire, or even thought about APC mesh.
I'll go to Mike first, then Crappy Tire. Wouldn't mind getting a couple of quotes on some things.
Btw, what ever happened to the kit you were looking for?

Anyone need tires? I've ordered my Paradas today. I can get tires below wholesale. Best deals on Yokohoma.

Dumb question, but what kind of warranty with the tires?
I'm running stock tires, and they suck.
I've been thinking about upgrading to 17" rims, but then I have to lower the too.
Don't know what to do. Buy some really, really good 15's, or go with 17 stock ride height, then when $$ is better lower the car.
How much for the Paradas?

hey xian (how the hell do you pronounce that anyway?)

i did what youre proposing, ie. i got 17" rims and i'll lower the car maybe this spring or summer. the car doesnt look that bad with the 17's at stock height, handles fine too (with a front strut bar). i'm not sure what specifically youre worried about, probably i'm just missing something here.

anyway, that's my two cents.

just incase anyone here is interested ---

im *probably* gonna be selling:

Alpine MRD-M300 V-12 class-D mono amp 600W max (tested at 340W RMS into 2ohms)
- Parametric EQ
- Crossover
- Time Correction
- Subsonic Filter
- Phase Control
- Bass Compensator

--built in time correction, phase correction, lpf, etc. are all great if you dont have a HU to do any of that stuff

Alpine Bass control **** (plugs right into the amp, can be mounted anywhere in car)
generic sealed box for single 10", i think about 0.85 cu. ft. (well made tho.. not some rattly crap)

(all used for ONLY 4 months.. well taken care of... had an alpine SWR1041 in the box, powered with the amp)

so:
amp
box
****

for $600 CAD (thats 20% of the brand new price.. and its practically new stuff)

ALSO:
stock headlights
stock tails

(those are both for the 2k2 coupe.. so they wont work on a sedan.. the headlights will, but one of the bulb connecters will be too big)

i dont have a price for em yet, but im gonna call honda and see what they cost new and drop it a little from there (they're in perfect condition, brand new)

im only selling it locally

so.. i just thought id let everyone know... incase you were thinking of getting any of this stuff.. it'll save ya the shipping

oh, one last thing, lights are for sale now (after i get the price for em) but the audio stuff im going to hang onto for a few weeks

Most people at work pronounced as "x, i, a, n", but...xian is supposed to be pronounced just like Christian, just like x-mas...it just too long to type out.

I'm just worried that it'll look stupid on 17" with stock height.

hey APRBoy, are you getting these tires from a supplier on highbury? I tried, but they don't sell to the public. Whats your connection, if okay to say?

JUST MADE A PURCHASE!!! Revo Technica Short Shifter from TornActive!!! I can't wait now.
