Vibration in Rain Problem : Discussion
Ok its getting closer to winter which means more wetness,
and unfortunately i don't have a winter beater
anywaz
Symptons: Vibration feeling under the car while heavy raining, feels like right under the shift **** but some say its comming out of the front.
Answer: ?? , I brought it back to my place and they gave me a greater clearance of piping over the back axel of my car, that didn't work, still vibration, would AEM Bypass be the key?? for the Injen/AEM/Generic CAI people?

My Injen CAI does make starting the car vibrate more than before, but having felt any sort of vibration when raining... Had it for almost a month through the last few rain storms.
i just had this happen to me recently
it sounds like it comes from the engine , under neath and it vibrates the shifter..
and specially when u stop at the light.
but once u put it on neutral it goes away....

Check off list:
1) I took off my intake and put the stock back on, and it' STILL doing it. So I don't think it's the intake...
2) I know it's not the tranny, since it's affecting everyone--both sticks and autos. Plus I had my tranny replaced with a new one.
But there is a strong viberation from underneath the car, centre console area, but more towards the passenger side. And it only does it when I dip into a puddle, or any type of water splashes from underneath. So I don't think it's the engine.......... hmm what could it be?

Now that you put it that way, it happens to me too (auto). Everything in the car sorta rattles a bit when stopping at the lights. I sometimes will put the car to N when that happens. Don't really have a pinpoint as to when it does tho.

It's been vibrating on mine since, ever. Before I had any mods my car was rattling on idle.
Not a big deal, but annoying some times. These are usually symptoms found on very OLD cars!!

Hey Guy
I think this Problem has already been solved ... Few members printed out the TSB and brought it in to the Dealer and they fixed it for them...
Somthing to do with an Exhaust Pipe ...
I am having the same problems But I am printing out the TSB and bringing it in soon for them to fix...
here is the TSB Below ..

As y'all know it was raining over the weekend and I, of course got the same vibration.
Anyway, I noticed that even when I hit a bump you feel something loose and it hits something metal near the front right corner. It doesn't vibrate but you just hear a loud thug. Could it be the same one that's causing the vibration?
Seems like it's coming from the engine area or somewhere close to the front right wheel. A'dunno but it's really annoying sometimes.
About that link, I never had the problem before I got my custom mid pipe so I don't know if it would apply to my problem.

obviously... this has something to do with water running down somewhere in the pipe.... but how 'water' create such a big fuss???
maybe because... our exhausts run extremely hot... and when it comes contact with water (cold) something un-balance happens... i dunno..... maybe... okie... this is another non-sense post created by andoy... carry on.. hahaha

OK I finally brought my car in for this problem....
I printed out the TSB showed it to the service manager...
He said He didn't know of the problem and that he would ask Honda blah blah and give me a call back...
I finally get the call back like weeeeks ! later ...
He asks me to come in ... and he raises my car and goes this TSB says the vibration is comming from the B pipe and makes it rattle and hit the car soo the car shakes...
But he said that my pipes are too far away for that to be happening.... He is just f*****g with me now...
He told me to come in when its raining and to drive it with him soo he can hear and feel the problem himself...
Sooo in the end ...
Wasting my time more
and
Honda service sucks
Oh ya forgot to add they dont believe me ....
Now what ..... And i bet when i bring it in the problem wont happen... knowing my damn luck ...
Anyone in here go to Markham Honda for service ? Maybe if u guys complain too they will finally get it ....

Hi guys,
You know what I think it is. If your'e car is lowered which I'm assuming it is, water makes easier contact with the shield thats under your'e car and thats whats making the vibrating sound. It happens to me all the time.
