Points for drive with no licence?

I got caught speeding last night... I was travelling 85km/h on 50km/h zone. Then I realized my license was expired on last april. Don't we get notification when it's about to expire? I looked at my license and it was issued November 2001(I lost license at that time) and the expiry date was April 2002? WTF? And then I got two ticket one $325 and the other one was $50 somethin. I thought $325 was for speeding and $50 something was for driving with expired license. But I looked at it just now and it's actually $325 for driving with no license and $50 was for speeding. The police officer actually reduced my speeding ticket to 65km/h. I know I don't get ticket for speeding now since it's only 15km/h over... but do I get points for driving with no license? The police officer actually told my friend to drive my car since I am techinically not licensed. Anyone know if I get points for this...?

I doubt you can get points for that since you don't technically have a licence.

Plus I didnt see it on this list: Demerit Points

Decamo has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Thats if you can even get insurance. You might be screwed. The insurance industry changed drastically in the past few months.

Hey Zooh

Read this about renewal:
You can
renew an expired driver's licence, without taking tests, within one year of the
licence expiry date. If a driver's licence has been expired for more than one,
but fewer than three years, a vision test is required. If your licence has been
expired for over three years, you have to reapply under Graduated Licensing.

As for insurance, the speeding ticket may affect it. But I can't see why the insurance would sky rocket becuase of the no licence thing. I am sure there are plenty of seniors (no offence) that forget all the time.

(link) to MTO renewal policy . Read the first paragraph and you will cheer up.
