K&N Drop In Filter or other air solutions..
I'm trying to get something better than the stock intake/filter that we have. I only have about $100 to spent, so I'm not sure what I should go with. I would prefer to get an intake, but maybe K&N Drop In Filter is the way to go. What do you guys suggest? What can I get for $100?
And, has anyone been able to find K&N Drop In Filters for sale in Canada? Canadian Tire maybe?

If you only got $100 then get the K&N drop-in filter, and don't expect to get any sort of gain from it. I know I've been praising my Injen CAI like mad but if you ask me if it's worth $330 I'll have to think about it.
Alternatively, you can buy 20 raffle tickets and hope you win the Typhoon.
If your car is manual, get those aftermarket CAI pipes and pop a K&N filter in for a custom K&N CAI! Gusto had one a while back.

i can't say for sure, all i know is i havent paid for anything, it's wierd, i've only ever paid the price that me and the seller aggreed upon...but the weight of all the things i've ever bought have been below 20LBS so that may be a factor...

But then again, the site that sells VicLX's bulbs listed AEM CAIs for $430CDN which is quite expensive too! Assuming they're similar prices to Injen stuff, these places are marking up by $100!

Performance Improvements is kind of a rip off.. the only thing worth buying there are "sensitive" items, like lightbulbs, because they honour the warranty and will provide direct exchange with a new one.
The chances of your intake system going faulty down the road is almost nill, just buy one at PacMall.

What's their warranty on bulbs? And where are they?
I just ordered a set of 10-yr warranty bulbs off ebay, gonna wonder if they'll actually replace burnt bulbs... PlasmaGlow is the company. Figured for $10US I'd give it a shot. Their site sells them for $40US...
If these don't work out I might go to Nokya or even PIAA, but I worry they'll go in a year or so, $60~$100 a lot to pay for just bulbs.

k, so far this is what i've gotten:
Canadian Tire: 460CDN + tax for FIPK
Performance improvements: 420CDN + tax FIPK, 600CDN + tax Typhoon CAI
Max Motorsport: 460CDN + tax FIPK
"Seth, The Ebay Guy" K&N seller: 279, + 30-40 shippedTyphoon CAI
2K1 Group buy: 135USD includes shipping Typhoon Short Ram, 165USD includes shipping Typhon CAI
Performancecenter.com: 200USD FIPK, 299USD Typhoon CAI
Speedtech: 4520CDN = negotionable? FIPK
After all that, I'm just going with the group buy, most likely the typhoon short ram.
