OT: BEST WAY TO BOND.. WITH YOUR FATHER!!
You heard of my road rage stories... well, the funny thing is, I'm quite calm when I am NOT behind the wheel. But I discovered this Sunday where I get it from...........
On Sunday, I promised to take my parents out and buy them dinner. Unfortunately we were short on time and I didn't make any plans, so I decided to take them to the Ontario Science Centre (truth be known, I had a coupon). We only stayed for a couple of hours, and off we went back to the car for dinner out.
There was an intersection from the way out onto Don Mills Road. I had to make a right, but I had to wait till green because there was someone in front of me. As most of you all know, Don Mills has three lanes. I made the turn into my own lane; I noticed there was a beat up Acura Legend on the opposite side, making a left, turning to the same street as me. Well, he was supposed to stay in his own lane--heck, take up two lanes, that's even cool by me. But this guy was doing a three lane turn, and almost side wiped into my car!
To warn him, I tapped my horn twice. Of course, any person with half a brain would either ignore me or apologize... instead he honks back at me, like I did something wrong. So I honk back too. What does he do? He pulls up beside me and flips me the bird. Then he accelerates past me and cuts me off!
So I do the exact same thing to him. My mother's freakin out in the back seat. I change lanes and give him a finger.. he passes me and gives me thursting finger (you know, the f-uck you and f-uck you again type of finger). My father's in the passenger seat, and he is now yelling "F-uck you! F-uck you!" (The only English cuss he knows off heart)
Anyway I catch up to him again, and I looked for something to scare him with. I had a bottle of peach juice with me, so I was gonna pretend to throw it at him to scare him. As I was about to do it, my mother grabs my arms from the backseat! WTF.. I tell her to let go. She says no, you are not going to throw that thing at him. I told her I was just pretending. Anyway, this as-shole meanwhile is telling my dad off... so f-uck it, I passed him, got in front, and jammed on the brakes.
As I came to almost a halt, my dad tells me to stop the car. Okay. Then he opens the door and hops out and runs up to this guy, who was now also at halt. F-uck, I thought.. so I got out too. After all, it's my duty to as a son to back up my own dad, right? Now, my dad's not a big guy He's a lot shorter than me, about 5'6 or 5'7. But he used to bodybuild back in the old days, so he looks pretty stocky. All of a sudden, there was an attitude change from the other driver. He didn't even get out. He stayed in, while my dad was screaming at him and waving his fist at his at face. All while the driver's wife was saying sorry over and over again. Of course, half of what he was saying wasn't understandable (Korean accent). So I was basically the translator But I did tell him that he's lucky my dad's a calm guy, because if he gave that finger to the wrong person, he would break it off and make him eat it.
It was quite hallarious talking about it afterwards back in my car. My mother wasn't too impressed... but that's typical of women I guess. I didn't think things like this would be a father-son bonding item, but it ended up as one.

damn, i would like to have seen you throw the bottle..hehe
but then again, i shouldn't encourage this kind of behavior...you might not always be so lucky... they sometimes fight back and it's not always a fair fight...(like us asian guys...we never fight fair...we just bring all of our friends and beat the crap out of one guy...lol)
i have a friend who's dad was in the states and witnessed a road rage incident many years ago...not pretty...one of the guy's actually pulled out a heater and blew the other guy's head off while in broad daylight...since he witnessed the whole incident, he had to go to court when they procecuted that guy....

HAHA Nice story dude... My dad is more calm than yours so I can't have too much fun as you did. Although, my girl has a worse Road Rage than I do so everytime someone pisses me off, she gets even more pissed than I am.. hah! I have to calm her down myself... And when she gets mad, believe me it's not a pretty sight! hahah j/p
