Got my Kenwood!
MP3 deck as I've been iterating on here time after time after time.
Thx guys for bearing with my ranting, hahahaha
Anyway, it's AMAZING! It definitely put more power to the stock speakers, better audio than the OEM for sure...
Now, here's my question to you guys. I'm not much of a bass person, and not a very loud music person. What's a good conservative upgrade I can do to get some better sound in front (or should I do rear speakers too? Tweeters?) and a small sub in the back?
Nitehawk (who happens to have the same deck as I) has a small little Kenwood sub (small like size of a toaster oven) which he doesn't know the price of (hahaha, you wonder where he got it.... I'm not telling. :thedevil
Yah, so just wanna chat about this. I, in no way, have the finance to do more audio upgrades yet (haha) but just wanna talk about it.

Msoft, when I got home yesterday, I wanted to play around with the sub settings and guess what.
No Power!!
That damn wire must have come loose again.
Anyways, I am glad you like the deck and thanks again for that MP3 CD that you made.

I only got 7019, which is base MP3 model, really.
Didn't feel the need for a $999 deck. So suggestions on audio upgrades anyone?
Yah, the colour change is nice... Made me dizzy driving last night, flashing colours.
Nitehawk, you should get Kevin to look at the connection or smthg. Use electric tape on it maybe, coz it shouldn't come loose like that.
And net, I think only the Sony ones flip. I have to detach this one....

Go for a pair of infinity 605cs components for up front and and some 6952i's for the rear. They are great speakers. you are looking at roughly $450 retail. I got both pairs of mine for a whopping total of $190+gst thanks to employee purchase at future shop

OyD, will you be able to get more hookups with them speakers? I used to have a friend who works at Futureshop but he's moved on to bigger and better places for work (i.e., government, hahah, arguably better).

it happens a year from now ...a new version will come out and Msoft and the other's will feel the same way hehehe

If you're going for a bit more decent sound but not looking into big power or anything, just change all your cabin speakers to 6.5". Unless you have a coupe which would mean getting 6 x 9" in the rear. You could get away with a decent set of all four speakers anywhere from $200 to $250.
Oh and component speaker-wise for the front? I don't think you'd have to do that, if you're not looking for too much, the stock tweeters should do you fine.
Technically you can run a sub directly off your deck but you just won't get enough power or bass depth coming from it. A sub should be always run off an amp. Now in terms of getting which small sub? Not sure, I like my big bass.
draven could prolly suggest ya something. Or talk to Mohawkboom.

Anyway, nothing too amazing about the deck. It's a decent MP3 one, nice flashing colours, but sound is of coz limited by stock speakers. Maybe I will invest in a bit of speakers upgrade in the winter time...
Nitehawk, great hookup, but the guy at the shop was kinda sloppy eh? I'm gonna find time to reinstall the dash kit coz the right side is sticking out. I might just try and shave off some plastic off the cover piece... Aside from that the deck is great! The dimmer's not connected to the headlight either, no matter, like to have bright light even when dark, haha....
