Is maintenance required reminder under warranty?

i've been driving around with the maintenance lite on for couple thousand km's now and decided to give it a check. i went to the centre honda where i bought my car and they said i have to get it checked myself and that it isn't under warranty. is this true? if not what dealer would inspect for free?

peace.

what's the click on the car? i didnt go to the dealer for the maintenance at 16,000kms cuz i asked around and it sounds like a waste of money
i probably get the 32,000kms one or whatever the next one is after the 16,000km

thanks for reply, i thought the maintenance was free. screw those checkups. bet u they probably checked a million cars b4 and have learned that at least the first 16k, 99% are fine and don't even bother checking but take ur money any how.
