Yeah the new Celicas aren't that fast.. Our civics have faster acceleration than the Celica..
That's why I don't understand when people compare Celicas to RSXs.... there is no comparison.

there is competition... statistically... GT-S runs better than GS R... and i think the GSR was pretty fast...
RSX type S probably run the same as GSR... since it's slower than the type R...

They only shipped one here from Japan, and they're using it as a pace car... WTF??? Why don't they sell that stuff.
I believe the Type-R has like 15-25 more horses than the type -S...
They call it Integra still in Japan...

Yahhh don't fu*k with the Mazda......err... Ford Probe GT... 160HP DOHC 2.5L V6... they FLY on the highway. $hitty off the line tho, I'm glad you can take him there
I remember guys with Mazda Precedia MX-3s at Cayuga racetrack couple years back, with 2.5L stuffed in them (salavaged from MX6, 626, & Probes).. all the cars were runing 14's all day long, and spanking 200HP VTEC Preludes who were running 15's
If you guys ever want to build the utlimate sleeper, this is the way to do it. The 1.8L V6 in the MX-3 GS is almost identical to the 2.5L, and literally BOLTS right on. Even easier to swap than B18C to a Civic. Plus you get the massive torque advantage from a 2.5L and you get two more cylinders. And best of all, the engines are PLENTY, since very few people do engine swaps with them. The guys I talked to at the track were saying the total cost was under $1000!! You can even order used J-Spec engines from Japan for $2500, and they pump 190HP.. with like 170lb of torque! Everybody thinks MX-3s are pu$$y cars, so keeping up with a Mustang with it would be fun

Re: How can I beat a Ford Probe?
you can't unless you do alot of suping, remember the 2.5 v6 gt from 93 and up was anything but american 2.5 v6 engine bosting 164 realistic horse power five speed tranny mazda mx6 platform wide and long base mazda suspension and breaking, the only american thing about this car was the exterior design and the ford logo. GOOD LUCK BECAUSE IF YOU SUPE YOUR CIVIC AND COME UP TO A SUPERCHARGED GT SLEEPER KISS YOUR OINK SLIP GOOD BUY. PROBE IS ALL JAPANESE, THATS WHY IT WON THE CAR OF THE YEAR AWARD IN ITS DEBUT YEAR OF THE MAZDA PLATFORM IN 1993
Re: How can I beat a Ford Probe?
its not too hard at all!
forget swap... I have a kswap and I can tell you that it was fun and all but i'm trying to sell the car and I won't even get more than 11K for my car. If I had a turbo though, I could have un-bolted it, sold it separately, and i wouldn't be losing as much.
Anyway, if your car is stock, you'll definately need intake, header and exhaust. remove the cat. Get a lighter flywheel. Another thing is that stock suspension weighs a lot more than OEM, when you install aftermarket shocks and springs, your car will be a lot lighter.
Your spare, jack and all that crap weighs a good 40lbs, remove it!
and finally, my favourite, computer upgrade..... get a greddy e-manage, get it tuned, you'll DEFINATELY take him out!
