COILOVER HELP!!!
i am new here guys...and i think the site is amazing...i just had a quick question for all of you...i have a black 2002 civic sedan lx sport edition and i was thinking of getting it lowered....with coiliovers....i just purchased the 17" konig absolute graphite rims...looks sweet...but i am going to lower the car for the more agressive look....my question is....what should i expect when i put coilovers on my car? obviously there will be a change in the suspension but...should i expect any creeks or noises when i lower my car? just wanna know so i know what to expect when i do get it...so i don't get all paro ...so any input would be much appreciated...thanks.....

only coil over kit i would recommend is ground controls....all the others suck really bad!....ground control uses eibach springs and koni seats....dont install OBX , Ractive or Hyperion

has anyone ever heard of CC coilover systems? they are a new coilover for the civic....also someone told me that you will experience some creaking when you do lower the car ? is this true?? and i appreciate all the input...thanks.....
There's so much misinformation spewing back and forth on this site sometimes that its not even funny.
Coilovers are fine (if you get the right ones). Ground Control and maybe skunk2 are the only ones that I would trust at this point. Coilovers are adjustable, springs aren't, and coilovers can lower a car more than springs ever will. You will get a creaking sound from the rears, but a can of WD-40 will fix that just fine. Just be prepared to pay up to 4 times more for decent coilovers as opposed to springs. Remember, you get what you pay for.
As for everyone that keeps talking about needing shocks, alignments, camber kits, etc. maybe you guys should stop talking about stuff that you know nothing about. I'm sick and tired of this, if you guys don't know what you're talking about then don't say a word on the subject.

Actually I just noticed that you have a 2k2. If you really want them, wait for people to make coilovers for 2k2's before getting them, the coilovers for the 2k1's won't work without replacing some parts because they changed the front struts on the 2k2's. Don't want to see anyone blowing money that they don't have to.
Hey hondadealer....do you really work at Honda??? Also I will go with some GC's cuz everybody goes off about them....but how hard is it to install them....Do you just drop them in...or do you have to do any cutting...and modding.....BTW I have a 2k1....sedan...
