u only want a exhaust tip?

<< what i wanna know is where is a good place to get my mods done? prices and installs and stuff.... i dont know a thing about this stuff. so help me please! >>

come around the midland and finch area....Top power racing, speedtech auto, etc etc..

<< i dont know what i should do with the coilovers and stuff.. people tell me its gonna be sooo stiff... >>

actually quite the opposite...springs or coilovers will give u a soft, wavy ride...unless u get some new shocks...

<< oh they said 35% tint will be $160... good? >>

decent price

yea i want stiff ride... your right.

thing is with my exhaust.... i dont want it to be loud!
but do they give extra hp if i get an exhaust? if so how much $$$? and does it give you worse gas mileage cause your getting more HP?

oh how about projector lights??? the smoked ones like pimps how much do u think it will cost to get that done? will the tinting place... tint the plastic for my front lights?? or is it a whole new light cover?

just learn to handle the car first before any mods go on it!

any mods done to your engine wont automatically mean less gas mileage, as some mods improve the efficiancy of your engine in such inprove gas mileage, one of these mods is iridium spark plus check out Denso. as for any other mod your going to do, its always best to go with aftermarket parts for any mod, oem parts are rarely worth the price, and for slightly more you can normally get aftermarket parts.

FACT: Doesn't matter if you get coilovers or regular springs, modding springs without changing shocks will ALWAYS give you a bouncier ride regardless. You will never get a stiff ride WITHOUT shocks.

FACT: My coilovers are NOT soft and wavy. They are still the stock shocks, same cushioning but a bit bouncier because of the height differential on the shocks means they have to work a bit harder. My car does NOT sway (wavy).

FACT: I didn't get shocks on my old ride till it was ready for the track, and I don't plan to invest in shocks on the 2k1 till it's I'm ready for the track too. Shocks don't blow from lowering unless you run it into every deep hole or abnormally higher bumps on the road.

FACT: We rarely blow shocks from lowering, and you shouldn't either if you take care of your car. If you abuse it, well you pay for the consequences.

FACT: you have to have money if you want to play the game right...

and as always, you should assess your situation and your wants/needs BEFORE you buy even one thing:

- tailpipe cover - doesn't do a thing for performance or sound and very little in terms of looks.

- exhaust - it can give you extra HP through a reduction in backpressure. depends on the brand and setup.

- coilovers - do you need coilovers..? or will simple springs accomplish what you want..? as for the stiffness, theres a trade-off for everything. performance or comfort..? of course theres going to be more of a feel for the road, thats what they're there for.

- define "and stuff" - really depends on what you want to do again. stuff entails quite a lot: coilovers (or springs), shocks (adjustable or non-adjustable), polyurethane bushings, camber kits, tie rods, strut/sway bars, etc. etc. etc.

- not all mods that add horsepower decrease gas mileage

- projector lights - entirely new light assembly, some you have to modify to get to fit perfectly. can be brighter than stock, if you have the beam pattern aligned right, it does light up the road better than your stock housing. If you decided to put any type of xenon bulbs (or higher wattage bulbs) in, they will burn out faster because the projector lights draw more power. You can actually feel the projector headlamps warm up.

- and the best thing to do in terms of making sure you get a good deal is to go to a shop and talk to the people that work there. try to establish a good relationship with them and go to them for as much of your stuff as possible. consistency and customer loyalty works wonders...

if you want to be able to adjust the height with ease, then you're looking at coilovers. best of the "affordable" coilovers would be either from ground control or skunk2. keep in mind that they aren't full coilovers though, so if you want performance shocks as well you'd have to get them separately and integrate them...

although it can be harder on the chassis, it all depends on how you drive as well. if you treat your car responsibly and don't blow the shocks or drive really fast through bumps and scrape all the time (seems common sense but you'd be surprised)

i avoid potholes.. sewers. etc. i drive like an old lady. thats why i am getting an LX and not an Si... no need for the power.. just the look. are ground controls expensive? does that mean you can lower and raise your car by a switch in your car or something?

you have to lift the corner(s) to be adjusted on the adjustable seat and spin the adjuster up or down to raise or lower the vehicle...

coilovers are manually ajustable ride height adjusters, not like hydralics, in order to raise or lower your car you have to reach around the tire and grab the adjustable spring seat, as you see it in dravens pic, then buy turning it clockwise or counter clockwise on the threaded sleeve (spindle) you can raise or lower your car, its slightly more complicated but those are the basics.

Yeah, anytime you got a question just ask.

Plus I thought I'd take the chance to clarify misconceptions about the GC's.

Don't want to see you get the WRONG information from people who don't have 'em, never rode with 'em etc. We speak from experience and knowledge of the issues. What we aren't sure about, we'll tell ya.
