please help me find this plastic

Hi,
I'm new to these boards. I don't own a civic, but my g/f owns a 2003 LX coupe. It's such a nice car. Too bad it's auto but I understand 'cuz she's a girl Anyway, she scratched up that silver plastic around the shifter. What is that plastic called? and where can I buy it (other then stealership)? There aren't many junkyards here where I live, so if there's somebody who is parting out their crashed civic or a good junk yard that would ship this out, would be nice. It's not a heavy piece of plastic, therefore, shipping shouldn't be more then 10 bux.

Thanks for all your help!

I think you're thinking about manual. Hers is automatic. So that plastic where it says P R N D bla bla...don't know the rest. It's silver and around the shifter.

I know exactly what you are talking about...I have one but selling it means I can't go back to stock if I sell the car.

I dont know how fast you would need this thing but if I go back again soon (to the wreckers) I could get you one and ship it out (that is if you dont get one sooner)

Where are you located anyway?

I'm in Windsor, ON, but my g/f is in Taber, AB right now (she's working there).
I don't know where you're located, so if you're closer to me you could ship it to Windsor and if you're closer to Taber you could ship it there...I'll be installing it when I go there anyway.

Please tell me how much is a total (part+shipping+your profit+your expenses)

Thanks for your time...I really appreciate it !!!

Good catch, I totally for got that. Mine is an 02 and the only ones I remember seeing at the wreckers were 02 civic's.

Good luck tracking this thing down.

jer2k>> thanks for trying to help out

Craig>> thanks for the link. It is very good!
I can't seem to find that part though. When I choose 4AT tranny I get a pic of 5spd manual and from the pic I can see that the part shuld be #7 and it's not listed in a price list
Maybe I'm blind...

thanks for all help everyone.

I think #4 is what I had in mind on the link I posted. (black/metallic) the P R D D3 are not shown on the illustration.

I have a parts list with OEM #s but it is for a Hybrid. If you want me to scan it for you I will, PM with E-Mail. Also it shows a difference between 03 and 04

#4 is just the black plastic around the piece that you need. That's not it. I can't see it listed in that site either.

I think they have a wrong pic on their site...its 5MT instead of 4AT

They have a 1-800 number, so I'll give 'em a call.

Thanks for all your help!!!
