painting hub caps
has anybody here painted there hub caps? i just wanted to know what kind of paint did you use? spray paint or brush? and how many coats to use.
i'm thinking of spraying my oem hubs gunmetal grey. (looks better than the oem grey, at least i think so)
cheaper than buying rims for winter and should be a lot easier to maintain.

yes yes the novelty of my steelies wore off and i wanted to put my hubs back on.
My dad actually had gunmetal paint in the garage.Its specifically FOR hubcaps and wheels...i did 2 coats and to be honest 1 was almost enough...no clear coat is to be used with this particular paint. hm. i suppose i could go take a pic for youwith my phone. i'll post them up within the hour.

and this is the stuff i used...i imagine you can get it at can. tire etc..
