thats bullshit man...they pretty much HAVE to take it back. they cant prove that he did it. why would someone break it and bring it back? just ask for an exchange, not a refund.

if they still give you a hard time, then ask for the manager. ask him...who would buy something, break it, then ask for an exchange? thats ridiculous. ask him "future shop is in the business of selling broken items, then ACCUSING the customers of breaking it themselfs...THEN wasting their time and future shops time by asking for an exchange?"

ask him...what you'd have to gain by this? you've already lost time and you've been hassled.

skiboard is on a distinguished road
just return it to other futureshop saying that you dont need it.
some of them will feel lazy and take it back.
try to give faulty info like wrong phone number or address possible
easy lol

future shop has a return policy i believe. they cant just accuse you with no evidence of breaking it and refuse to take it back. as long as its been within 30 days, it falls under their return policy. they pretty much HAVE to take it back, unless they can PROVE that your buddy broke it

yes but it's manufacture warranty unless your buddy bought extended warranty.
you have to send it to manufacture using your own expense to ship. just take it back and say that he doesnt need it.

What was that saying? "caveat emptor"

You have the burden of proof to prove that the speakers were damaged pre-delivery of the goods to you. I think that should be an easy one if the box was an open box product (returned good).

Contact the Ministry of Consumer and Business Services in Ontario and file a complaint.

Good luck
