cat back and headers

alright, i wanna get a catback exhaust, but i have the LX coupe, so my catalyic converter is built into my stock headers

is it possible for me to buy a catback and have 2 catalyic converters until i get new headers?
or is this gonna screw things up or what?

no one makes the header designed for the lx
because they would have to have a catalyic converter built into it

i think the only reason most headers and exhaust systems are designed for the SI/EX is because the Si/Ex has the catalyic converter under the car, not in the headers

am i wrong?

i dont think so
i dont know for sure, but i bet the ex header fits the lx and dx, but they say only Ex because of the catalyic converter situation

i wanna find out for sure

i think the ex engine has the same exhaust set up as the lx
i dont think the vtech would change the spacing between the holes when the exhaust comes directly out of the engine block
but i could be wrong
not sure
