So i was driving to a friends house and..

!!!!!!!!!!BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!
I hit a huge pile of rocks on the road going around..50 KM/H. I got pretty much lost to her house cuz i've never been there before, i realized I went the wrong way so i turned around, finally found her house (she lives in the country..around Holland landing, unno if you guys know that area..around Newmarket), drove up the driveway, i got out of my car and my rear driver side tire is FLAT!

First off, my car is brand new, just under 3000 km on it. So the tire is pretty much new..my buddy says he might be able to patch it and fix it..but it looks pretty bad..i'd take a pic if i had a digi cam at the time. anyways..right now i'm riding on the temp tire.

How long would that last anyways? I"m getting it fixed (if it cant be fixed buying a new tire) tomorrow but yeah..i thought i hit something underneath my car..but it was my tire exploding..HAH..cot damn..i feel like crap driving with it..it looks so ghetto..

dont feel bad stupid **** happens all the time, I once went to this girls cottage, met her parents, they were all friendly invited me to stay for a night, they just asked me to move my car, so while there all standing at the door I back into her fathers truck / idle snow plow attachment, the bar was too low to see from my rear view. It also didnt have a reflector and it was dark so I stupididly I backed up into it pushing in the my rear quater panel and popping a tail light.
lucky I didnt damage his truck

damn embarrasing, cost me $600 at the body shop + new tail lights.

oh and I didnt end up staying the night kuz i felt like such a n00b

my tires been patched numerous times, if you dented a rim buy some nice rims

This is crappy...

This is a long shot but you can go to your municipality with the receipt and try to get them to pay. They have a responsibility to keep the roads in reasonable condition for driving. A huge pile of rocks is not good but I really dont know how it got there? Was it construction or what?

Excellent point, Not as long of a shot as you think, did the neighborhood you were entering say "Unassmed Roads", was the road private property or maintained by the city.

You need to find out if this was in New Market, Aurora or Bradford West Gwilliumberry

Sorry to hear about this. Something similar happened to me

Some fool left a hanger on the road and i ended up pulling out a foot of hanger wire from my rear passenger side tire. Couldnt be patched cuz it went in the sidewall so i paid a nice peice of change for a new tire.

Had I known, i woulda surely went to the municipality with the receipt. I urge you to do what i shoulda done!

Hey, good points all. Thanks, appreciate it.
I'm really thinking about that now. Its just..i unno, government is so ugh...it'll probably take lots of time and energy for them to pay for the new tire..
As for the road..it was at the end of 2nd Consession., as for signs and whatnot, i dont recall..but it was like farmland pretty much, outside of newmarket, east gwillemberry..and..since its not really a road many people go on..I dont know if theyd even give me a cent for the damage.

dont get discouraged, contrary to public opinion government offices arnt that ridicolously slow or back logged. There are just procedures and certain forms you need to fill out. Do five minutes of homework and a bit of calling and I wouldn't be suprised if you get a cheque for that tire.

I mean a pile of rocks in the middle of the road, come on that isnt fair, you shouldn't have to pay $150 for that.

WHAT!? no way! if you pay $150 for re92's you deserve to have all your tires slashed. i can get you 17" yokohama avid H4S, mounted, for around the same price as what honda wants for those crappy oem re92's. what i suggest is that you tell honda to kiss your a$$ and go check some tire shops in your area. i'm certain that you will get a much better price for those OEM's than from honda.

lol..see i didnt get the tire from Honda, i got it from Newmarket Tire.
And i'm SOOO happy i can drive my car and not look ghetto..lots of local places here either couldnt get my tire for some reason, or charged pretty much the same for the Re92..sigh..yeah it was expensive..i woulda went all Federals, cheap good tires, but i figure i'll just get them when i get new rims.
thanks for the input tho. and since the car was new, i wanted to get the same tire as all the rest. i'm just happy i cna drive now, i really didnt like driving around with the donut, so i didnt drive at all. haha..
