thanks alot jer!!! lol and going back to this DKN7 thing, BIG hands down took 3/4 categories that u mentioned illmatic. Ur making it sound like performance is the biggest deal but its not...at least i dont think it should be.

Okay, i really didn't want to post, but honestly... it could have gone either way. Alot of ppl are talking like GuSTo's ride has nothing, but it has ALOT done to it... it's just that it's not all for show or "showy". I knew it was going to be really close and I didn't know who was going to take it in the end. You say that BIG took him HANDS DOWN in categories other than performance, but that's not true at all. GuSTo has enough to keep him close to BIG in all categories... the way I look at it, he probably lost to BIG in each category by a couple points or tied and then performance just carried him to the win. I'm sure he only won by 2 or 3 points overall. Here's my breakdown:
Suspension: Air ride doesn't automatically give you a perfect score... it's likely they tied in this category because GuSTo has alot of suspension mods
Brakes: Stock vs. RSX 5-lug conversion... I think GuSTo took this section
ICE: Both guys have fiberglass installs, BIG has 1 more screen than GuSTo... but both systems were complete (subs, in-dash screen, amps, components, and coaxials)
Exterior: BIG took this catergory for sure, but probably only by a few points out of 15 or whatever it was. They both had body kits, mirrors, different headlights & tail lights. BIG = CF Trunk, Lambo Doors, and Painted Roof, GuSTo = retrofitted HID projectors and shaved trunk
Interior: Fiberglass with guages and re-wrapped seats vs. jdm recaros, carpet, dash kit... this was probably where BIG gained the most points on GuSTo.
Wheels/Tires: 19" does not automatically get you more points... i'm sure they tied in this category.
Performance: Obviously GuSTo took this... not gonna go any further
So as you can see... all categories were close and the only category that put GuSTo ahead was performance. I think GuSTo was down about 3-5 points and then took the lead with performance/engine. It's safe to say that if BIG had his turbo kit in, he would have won.
As for overall impression, both cars took different directions... 1 all show, the other pretty basic. Looking at both cars, I think GuSTo's car is more appealing... it has a much more aggressive body kit and nice wheels. GuSTo is rocking brands like Spoon, Hondata, Buddy Club, Recaro, etc. Maybe the judge was more of a JDM *****.
For me... bottom line: regardless of what year Civic you guys have... There were tons of cars this year with Lambo doors and air ride, but only 1 with a K-series motor.
You guys can bicker all you want, but it's not gonna get you anywhere. This is why the Toronto scene and shows suck... because everyone's a hater and has something to say. Each show is judged differently with different weightings and criterion... I know some score cards have a category for air ride & lambo doors, it's just what the organizers feel is more important in a show winner. To make accusations about how someone "rigged" the judging is just stupid... he doesn't even know any of the judges personally.
Oh, and as for the displaying of the car... it's tough having a car show so close to home because you don't bother taking time off work. The whole weekend was GuSTo working or waiting for a ride from me to the show haha.
GuSTo and BIG have been cool about this and will just have to see how the next show(s) go. I'm done yapping...

Mir, you can only get what you are given. If the Hamburg guys are nice enough to give us some shirts to wear we can't complain if there arent enough for everyone. Props to Mark for getting our first team sponsorship !!! lol
We really should look into more group type sponsors since we are starting to get a small reputation in the Niagara region. If we could set something up like Big has with his paint guy that would be awesome. Or look for audio or something too.
Also, I just saw Mark's sig and its LOL. It is small, yes?

yeah gen7 in niagara is famous no doubt. Jer, I dont tihnk we will ever find a guy who will paint our interiors for $30!! lol since 4, possibly 5 of us are doing our interiors, im sure we are going to get some sort of deal.

hey bizatches Sare is back from NY...and i brought the stench with me! haha
Warped tour was sick. Sadly got rained out at about 6 pm and the tornado warning was blaring and there was thunder and lightening and all kinds of muddy madness at the end. So booo..we didn't get to see Mest or Boys Night Out which makes Sare sad. After the concert we went to the park to set up camp only to find some unknown person tent on our area-might i add on the only level area of our site-the rest was all a big declining mess[we managed to book the only site in the park that had NO grass on it whatsoever!!]. So we set up on the decline as fast as possible, cause mind you its still pretty much downpouring.
Me and Maryanne go to sleep and wake up in the middle of the night to find the ends of our sleeping bags and the back end of our tent[at the bottom of the decline] full of water. grr. i've never seen so much rain for so long. We woke up today[wednesday] and tried to find something to do but apparently Darien Center,Alden and Lancaster are the crappiest towns ever.So we said screw is and went to darien lake anyways even tho it was raining. Maryanne denounced her love for me tho when i refused to go on Superman, or that wooden one.[what can i say...i can't do it unless theres shoulder braces]
We got back from the park at like 6ish cause we didnt wanna go on anymore rides and we wnated to clean out our tent and ish. We started a fire and complained about America and rain, and the funky smell that seems to now reside in my car.Then we decided screw it, we're going home early, packed up our tent[that we had just moved, mind you] and headed home to friggin Canada.
Now im doing all my laundry and trying to find the root source of the funky smell.
Fo' real tho. it smells like a cross between wet dog, and a$$.
so thats our long winded story.
