why are they better? do u need an amp for them? ANNNNNNNNNNND in terms of amps... what kind of amp would u suggest for 2 subs... 1 channel, 2 channel and so on... i have no clue, please help,

well mark since i know so much about car audio, i would assume that u could run compent speakers, whatever those are, through an amp for a better sound. but i dont think u have to. And the type of amp u get would have to depend on how many subs ur getting and the sizes of them. Its all about ohms and all that ****... i have no idea wat im talkin bout.. ill stop now.. lol
component speakers are tweeters that work together with ur 6.5's in your door. and u dont need an amp for them BUT if u are running say 220 watt 6x9's ud want to get an amp because ur stock stereo will only give out 50 watts so u are not using them to their potential at all, and in theory they could sound worse. how do i know this? me and jer talked audio today.

Other speakers just work on there own and dont care about what the other speakers are doing.
I think if the speakers have a high power rating and you dont feed them enough they can be crappy. If they have a low power rating the deck will power them fine.
As for amps for subs...i dont know man maybe just get a high powered 2 channel for the two 12's
