RSX seats w/ heaters

Hey, I'm thinking of buying some RSX seats and the install seems pretty straight forward, but I've only found info on seats from the US which don't have seat heaters.

Has anyone installed these seats and hooked up the heaters? I think he may have to cut the wires when he takes them out but I'm not sure. If anyone has done this could you tell me what was involved and where you mounted the switches, etc.

you should be able to just buy the relay from the RSX and a switch from an EL so you can have a flush look.

FYI, Acura Switches are like $60 each, just use rocker switches from cdn tire.

I want to hook up the back heater and some sort of hi / low switch. I just may end up having to buy oem ones grrr

I was hoping I could get all the wiring with the switches, but I'm not sure if thats possible. $60 for a couple of switches is insane

if you want a clean look..
also you can try to look up after market heated seats on eBay and google ( i found some in the past ) and check with the supplier if they can provide you with some switches. They look clean, have little pictures for high low and will fit like OEM.

I guess EL switches would fit right in to a civic since they have the same interior setup

Just got off the phone with North Town Acura (parts are open til midnight ), it turns out a heated seat switch from an RSX costs $95cdn! but he said it seems like you only need one as they control both.

Can anyone find a pic of this button? How big would it have to be to control two seats in hi / lo

So one button controls both? I'm sure there are two buttons on a stock rsx.

Get some lit rocker switchs from cdn tire. They look alright

Yes, there are 2 separate buttons (one for each seat). I believe the RSX ones are basically the same as those on the EL (mounted on the lower part of the centre console).

No, the ELs only have one setting (on or off). From what I recall the RSX is the same as well.
