Just wondering if anyone here has ever re-finished there rims?
For example if your clear coat on your rims starts chipping away in certain areas....not just repainting.
If you have:
where did you go?
What were the costs involved?
Would you recommend the shop?
Ive heard of Carcones and they said they charge $120 per wheel + an extra $20 to re-mount and balance the tires. There turnaround time is pretty impressive too. They say that they complete them within 48 hours of recieving the rims. Ive never seen there work though.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

You could do a sandblast and a powdercoat with
the color that you like... Powdercoating is a very
durable paint, way more elastic (spell???) that liquid
paint, also, it's heat resistant since you have to bake
it to seal it. Here in montreal, it's about $40 to $80 CDN
for one rim. Expensive but for $80, you get the polish lip.
hope that help,
Philippe.

carcone did a great job. very professional.
i had 2 curbed rims and one bent rim...powder coated and fixed the wheels for a decent price.
there's another place that actually does pickup and delivery service but i can't remember the name of the place...
