Exclamation If I move......

So in all likelyhood I'll be moving to Brantford, Ontario sometime in the early spring...at least I hope so anyway.

This would obviously mean that I will no longer be the Ottawa regional rep so I'm going on record now stating that I think Player (Abe) should take my place...

I would still like to stay on as a rep though but I'm not sure if a regional rep is where it'll be at since I think I'll be the only one in Brantford unless I recruit a few others I've seen in the area.

anyway....discuss.

well instead of being a regional rep you could just be a general rep...responsible less for recruiting and motivating people in the region (since you wouldnt be there) and more responsible for overall team planning.

agree with jer...the stronger our adminstrative staff is the better...you can help with overall rep duties instead of the region rep stuff....we basically need more input on that side anyways...

starting up a new chapter could be fun mike, u can work on it in the summer and we can offically start a branford region next spring! lol but remaining on as a general rep is an excellent idea...

Pharoh, I'm sure you'll have your hands full just adjusting after you move...I'm STILL not settled in fully after the great flood of 2004 (and moving back into my crib). So you'll have time to really think about it. While I don't think Brantford itself will have a large enough 7th-gen demographic to justify a dedicated rep, since you're used to a little bit of driving anyway (Ottawa-Brantford weekly) perhaps you could join up with our other 905 peeps in the Niagara region and help them out with the recruiting and visibility, hence extending that region to, let's say, Niagara-Hamilton-Brantford (and beyond if you wish). Not that our Niagara reps aren't doing a good job, but it's a bit of distance to cover from their area to ours, with some gaps in coverage. Your presence would bridge a gap between Mississauga (my unofficial turf) and London, and thus *pulls down map above blackboard* creating a 7th-gen "belt" reaching from the eastern cities and towns, like Scarborough-Markham-Richmond Hill, through the central Toronto core, past Etobicoke, Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington, and then into your region *moves laser pointer back and forth*. With a unified "belt" like that, it would really ensure that anyone in these highly-travelled areas (OK so Brantford is a LITTLE out of the way) would have a good chance of seeing a Gen7 car. Increased coverage = increased visibility = increased credibility = more members = more DEDICATED members = bigger presence at shows = bigger reputation = increased visibility and so forth. *turns off laser clicker and puts pants back on*

Just my opinion and I haven't had my coffee yet so I'm sure I've missed something. Anyhoo, off to work for TeLLy!
