Gonna be making a lot of weekend trips there soon from Ottawa. I would almost always leave Friday and stay in North York at my mom's before going to Brantford on the Saturday......so .....
I'm thinkin it's the 404 to the 407 and then off at the 403 (Brantford/Hamilton) exit....is this right?

Saturday morning (18th). From what I hear it probably only costs $7 to use the 407 so that's ok. I'm more interested in the fastest way..lol

Dont take 401 right accross cuz it passes Brantford and goes to Woodstock. Take 401west to 427south or 403south. After that, you eventually see a fork in the highway and stay on the right hand lanes and head toward hamilton(hwy403). While on the 403, make sure to stay in the righthand lands cuz the left lane goes toward Niagra. Hope this isnt too confusing.

my mom lives right on the 404 (Sheppard). So that's why I was thinkin of going 404 to the 407 Express....from what I heard the 407 will hit the 403.
hahaha i was reading New york instead of north york??? haha i was all confused
u have to take 401 west to QEW then to 403 hamilton..... make sure u don't exit off to niagra, u have to make it up the mountain of hamilton then keep goin for about 20 mins to get to brantford. the whole trip will take u around 1hr-1.5hr depending how fast u drive and the traffic. You can take the 407 which is suppose to be faster but u have to pay and i have never gone on it so i can not tell u directions.... hope it helps!

ya that does help thanks.
I don't mind payin for the 407...it's pretty cheap considering the time that's saved. My mom was saying I could make Brantford in under an hour the way I drive on a saturday morning if I take the 407 so here's hoping I guess.
Guess they just send you the bill in the mail and you pay online..do tinted license plate covers work.

Click Here to see the route to take from north york to brantford. basically just take the 407 west till end and merge to 403 brantford. Here shows how the 407 ends by merging with QEW and 403. The route highlighted in green shows the way you should take.
