why does your g/f want a butterfly knife?!?!??!
Anyways, those are prohibited weapons. You can get in some serious **** for having one.

Remember my balisong... Trust me its illegal down here I got mine confiscated. You cant import them here and carry them. You will get charged, and if you try to ship them you will get caught by customs. You will be black flagged and everytime you want to import it will be checked and you will be checked at the airport thoroughly.

I know it'd be illegal to carry a switchblade, but is it illegal to just own one, the same way a butterfy/balisong is?

My friend went to the Philipenes and brought me back a couple butterfly knives a few years ago. Somehow he was able to declare them as souvaneers and customs let him bring them back. Not sure if customs screwed up but my friend got them through. I sold one of them and kept the other one for myself to use so plz dont ask me to sell it
while we are talking about this stuff......
anyone know where I could get an expandable baton.....
Ive gone pretty obsessive over this since I saw Reisdent Evil 2

Most self-defence shops sell them for around $40. You can also try Chinatown's weapon shops. There are a few shops on Yonge Street between Dundas and Bloor that sell em. Dont remember the names of the shops. Mine got taken away when my friend used it in a fight

No, i dont think they are illegal cuz when i bought mine last year, i was carrying it on my hip out in public. There is also a small set of 3 mini daggers that come with a sheath that attaches to your forarm. They're supposed to be throwing knives but they arent balanced properly. One shop i know of is located at the northwest corner of Yonge and College. It's like 5 or 6 shops from the corner, just before the next set of lights going north. It's a Chinese art store and has a big yellow sign above it. You cant miss it

Ok... just to let you know... carrying a prohibited weapon is highly illegal (you might as well carry a Fully Automatic gun). Even if you were to use it in defence, there's no justification as to why you even have one on your person. If you happen to stab a person with it, not only would they confiscate the knife, you might also be charged with Assault with a Deadly weapon/Manslaughter/2nd Degree Murder/etc...
For collecting purposes is fine but the knife has to be dull.
I'd suggest you get your girl some pepper spray instead. It's not legal to carry spray but she'll get in less **** then carrying a knife.
