Anyone intrested in installing fogs and doing some electrical work?
Alright im getting some replica oem style fogs in the mail in the next few days, anyone want to install them and do some electrical work?
I want my lights to be on with the headlights and that's it.
I can provide a garage for you to work in (a regular garage not a mecahnic garage)
Im willing to pay a resonable amount for the install and will provide beer, and food and somtin to smoke if ya smoke (not cigarettes though).
id prefer someone whos done this before, let me know!

Let me know when the kit arrives. Some peeps are saying that replica kits don't fit that well and they don't come with a switch or relay.

So last night I installed the fogs in Adam's ride. I had to run a plug through the firewall (via a grommet) from the engine bay, then plug it into a switch I mounted in the center console. The grommet was already occupied by a rather large amp power wire. So I had to do a lot of pushing and pulling past a lot of rather rough (sharp?) engine bay components. As a result, my right arm has several long gashes, and the fingernails partially separated from my right thumb and index finger. It hurts to type, and now I don't think I can get chinese food cause I can't hold chopsticks properly. Anyone wanna come to feed me?
Oh and when I had wired everything up, they didn't light up when I turned the key to ON....I was tired and angry and just wanted to leave, so I just said we'd schedule another meeting....but as I was pulling out of Adam's garage, he came running out, apparently the fogs worked. I guess I should have read the instructions more carefully - the corners have to be on....

I felt bad about giving $50!
I told you telly, I fully support the effort > pay ratio and you put in some serious effort!
im really glad we got em leaving before you left because i could tell it bothers ya, ill toss you a little extra once we mount the HID's.
Ill put up some pics when I get the HID's in
they look fantasic, very clean and even with my HID's gave a nice contrast in the snow and a lot more light on the side
worth $130
TELLY BANG UP JOB!

I give you a price, you pay it, it's that simple - I don't jack up the cost just cause I scraped myself or took an extra hour. I'm not a big shop that can charge you for extra time (but if I have to buy new parts for the job you're payin for em, ha ha). If I was doing this for the money, I would have given up when we were trying to feed the wire through the grommet, and you would have paid me half my quote even though I didn't finish. But I really just wanted to get the job done, mainly cause I wanted to see your car pimped out, and know I did that. You wouldn't have paid a cent until the completion. The money I charge isn't a profit thing, believe me. I charge a little bit because I want to make sure you're committed to getting this done and getting it done right. If I paid shops full labour costs to do the mods I have on my car (and some of my mods can't be done at ANY shop in the T-dizzle trust me), then I would be even MORE broke than I am now. Thus I know you guys can't afford to blow $200 on labour to install a pair of fog lights, though some places would be happy to hit you with that. You bought a freakin Civic, I'm sure some of you guys sometimes worry about making the next payment. What good is trickin out your car if you can't afford the gas to show it off? Just do me a favour and when someone asks "Wow, what did you have done to that car?", you can help my cause and say....

Hmmm....I wonder.....if you can get the fogs off and leave them with me for a little bit I can see about perhaps putting lucite in instead - more crack-resistant, won't yellow....I'm on vacation from work next week, so perhaps we can chatty chat about this then.
