Got hids :)
Got hids :)
Well, after driving around for a month with one head light I got my HID's, I dont have a digi cam handy so I cant take pics but theres abudance of pics anyways.
Got the Xtec 5000k from impulse loaded em in my stock 01 ******* looks INCREDIBLE, i beleive it also adds a good 20 hp to the engine somehow
lights are very distinct very nice, and have a nice cut off, ive seen projector hid's on high end cars and you do get a better cut off, but honestly the stock glare blockers on the bulbs work fantastic, the beam pattern is nice, and it everything just looks whiter, Ive come to love chrome bumpers just so I can stare at my head lights.
easy as hell install too!
they were $320 usd + $100cdn bucks in UPS brokerage (talked em into dropping brokerage and only paid $50 cdn)
was it worth it, every penny
I am never ever going back to halogen.
not even that bad in the rain
Ill bring my car out to the next meet but honestly I think everyone with $400 bucks to burn should buy themselves an early birthday present.
I didnt put this in lighting section just beacuse I wanted ontario peeps to know how much it costs to get acorss the border.

acually I think I got mine for 310, came to 420cdn, its $109cdn $55 UPS brokerage, if you want to go back to the port (if your in the GTA its windsor) you can save UPS brokerage fees, which are like $50. I just called begged em and said I was a poor student and they let it go JUST THIS TIME.
5000k is great, very white with a sligt tinge of blue, comes blue when it fires up.
As far as britness, its tough to describe, you know when yo uhave your high beams on up north in pitch darkness, its like that except the lights wider and farther. as opposed to HIGH and glary. I have not been highbeamed and they basically look a little bit better then 3.2TL lights. the beam pattern is great and there is not disgusting glare like that one picture in the forum "why hid's are illegal" i dont think there illegal here in Canada anyways, if they are arrest me!
and burn hard, yes I think 6th gens use H4's too, installin this **** is like installing a bulb cept you plug it into the ballast. Clean install, and the ballasts jam nicly under the side of the hood.
TALK TO IMPULSE AND ORDER SOME MOTHER F UCKING HID's!
and try and order together, that way you only pay brokerage once.
buy buy buy!

haha its so great. everythings so f ucking beauitful! EVERYONE BUY THEM NOW!!! there really not as expensive as you think.
Plus you appreciate them ALWAYS! I drive with em on in the day and just wait to see how beautifully white my lights are on the guy infront of me's car.
BUY THEM NOW NOW NOW!!!
I may be looking to buy some HID foglights 3000k, gotta make some money first but in a few weeks I think Impulse should setup a group buy.

I would also like to mention I put my car next to my friends BMW M3 loaded with HID's
his intial comment was mine is bluer (I think BMW uses 4300k) the cutoff line on his car was a bit more jagged but definatly not HUGE, the lens created the ball effect but truthfully I like the reflective based look, real different.
In terms of lighting we both lit up about the same amount of area. haha Impulse i love you! These kits are awesome

For the shipping/brokerage costs .. if Impulse doesn't mind sending the package in another manner - and you guys don't mind waiting a little bit longer - you'll save some. UPS is probably the worst to ship through customs as they charge an arm and a leg. USPS is most likely the cheapest and still reliable
