Is getting the gas light at approximately 400 bad then? Because its all heavy street driving - ie jack rabbitting starts, high cruising speeds, etc -- using regular Shell gas .. though its up to premium at the moment because I think my injectors need some cleaning - feels like its pinging (that or my tranny is going <- which I wouldn't be surprised about).

Maniac am I .. all you want, until I get caught I don't think I'll slow down. I'm like that

whats all this per tank stuff? Since everyone likely fills up at different times you cant compare anything.

I usually try not to let the fuel lite go on. Therefore I get about 450 - 500 km on between 35 - 40 litres.

Cuz that shiet is DA BOMB. Makes me look cool paying through the nose

I think cuz some of these guys feel it makes their car go faster? I filled up with premium once (company paid for mileage), and my stock auto EL felt sluggish with the premium gas...... There was a thread about it, guys were saying it's harder to burn.

Scientifically speaking, YES 92 Octane does nothing for the D17's. From all the reading on the net, it seems it's harder to burn. Really one shouldn't feel guilty about puttin in the bare minimum. Our engines were made for it. If they were made for 92, then it would say so in the manual.

That said, I've been putting in 92 for the last while myself. I don't know how or why, I'm sure the extra kick is just psychological, but I swear I'm getting up to 50km more out of 40L. Maybe I'm just driving differently the last few months....

I get about 600 km per tank. I was actually tracking my mileage for the first time, since the last fill up I did. I had about 500 kms, and I filled up gas yesterday. I put in 38 litres of gas after 500 kms. So give or take, I figured I could go another 100 kms.
