I just got a cellular plan with Bell. I went with them because their latest promotional offer was incredible and I can write it off at work.
I need help picking a phone as I'm not cell phone savy.
**Please keep in mind: I'm movin at the end of the month and this will be my ONLY phone**
I'm not even sure if I can get one from a place other than Bell.

I think so....but I'm told Sony Ericsson's work on that network as well.
here's the bell list. LINK

I'd recomment either an LG (but not the TM250, seems a little on the cheap side of LG's products -- go with the TM520 or 5550 <-- really nice phone) or a Samsung (preferably the sph-a660, sph-a600 or sph-a500). Nokias are really reliable too, but the phone looks are just not there. That's why I say LG or Samsung. Plus, for me at least, I like flip phones. They cover the keypad and you still have a display on the outside (well, at least make sure of this when you purchase a phone -- comes in really handy). Let me know what the verdict is

ya...they have this great Sanyo phone. It has a million amazing features but .....
it isn't a tri-mode phone
it isn't a tri-mode phone
Ah, that's no good
Yeah, you'll want at least 1X tri-mode (CDMA) or GSM.. I've currently got a Motorola V60i (TDMA) and I don't get the same digital coverage as tri-mode people. Though it's not bad as long as I'm in a decent-sized city

What's Bells' latest promotional offer???
I'm also on Bell, and so are a lot of my other friends. The Samsung a660 is nice, but the only thing that I don't like about it is the lack of an external display! You have to flip it open to see who's calling, to see the time, and date, etc etc. I have the Audiovox 8600, and it's a nice and compact phone. One of the few things I don't like about however is the User Interface. It's so slow! And unlike other manufacturers, the way you search for a number in the phonebook is so messed up. Nothing like a Nokia or Samsung. Let us know what phone you decide to go with. I have a hardware upgrade coming up soon, and I'm also thinking about what phone to get next.

Yo, these are my thoughts.
The Sanyo phone is great, its got lots of features BUT its a Sanyo.....not as good of quality. Reception is OK, but if it is your only phone then its NOT the one for you.
The Samsung a660 is a sick phone. Its got ALL of the features that you could possibly want(minus a digi cam) and it kicks *** on battery life. Some people view it as a bad thing that it lacks the external display. I don't. Trust me, its one less thing that you could break.
Samsung did their research on this phone dude.

pharoh dude i work for bell mobility... if you want an ALL AROUND wicked phone on recpetion...go with the samsung n370... best phone on recpetion in my opinion, comes with 2 batteries and it not too expensive... out of all the ones ive sold i havent got a single back...
if you want something that looks a little bit nicer...go with the a660...still a real affordable phone, with great reception, features and batt life. dude when it comes to the bell network, u cant go wrong wtih samsung... ive tried all the phones we have, and samsung by far stands out in all areas.
