Rep Power: 0 How to re-urethane-glue Xenon Side-skirt?
Well i just got my full Xenon urethane Body kit done on my 01 sedan.
1. The color match = good
2. Front and Rear bumper = good
3. The side skirts = NOT good
Both side skirts were not glued on properly on some parts. Some parts of the side skirt seem to have to much glue on them, and it leaked out, kind of like a bead of glue. So a part looks like it was welded on and painted over.
Any one with the Xenon kit have this problem?
Can the side skirt be re-urethane-glued some how? Or removed and fixed somehow?
It was done by a body shop that how a fair amount of body-kit experience.
I'll post pics later when i get my digi-cam back.
Thanks for the help.

if you used that urethane type of glue.. and a hella b i t ch to get off.
imo, should of went with the 3m dual side tape
really strong
if you want to remove that glue from the car.. use paint thinner that can be purchased from home depot.

Rep Power: 0 The 3m dual sided tape that came with the kit, didn't work so well. So we ended up using the urethane glue, the glue came out messy and now i'm having a headache trying to figure out how to fix it.

Rep Power: 0 ya, the urethane glue is a B I T C H a s s to remove.
it'll take you a good half a day.. especially if there's a lot.
and even after a few hours... your arm will get tired
that is you're looking to remove the glue.
well, the 3m tape i got worked really well.
maybe your car wasnt that clean when you or the body shop stuck it on??

Rep Power: 0 i think with the tape you're supposed to stick it to the car and let it sit for a good 24hours then put the sideskirts on so that the tape doesnt peel off.
