Exclamation Can someone explain......!!!

I got my new stuff put in today and the passenger pads that were takewn out was 90% gone....
but the Driver side pads were only 40 % gone????

naw.. i just remembered ... i probably had a air bubble on my line causing no pressure for the driver side brakes...

smokedcivic has a little shameless behaviour in the past
a slider pin is what lets the caliper slide in toward the pad and outwards. If that pin does not have enough grease it will seize up.

Now everyone should know what a caliper is and if you don't don't be discouraged... the caliper is the main part of the brake system, its what pushes the pad into the rotor which then you will slow down or stop the vehichle... if that caliper were to seize up all i have to say is wow your in trouble. Well not really but you would either have to overhaul the caliper piston or just a striaght replace. So you better make sure you know who is working on your brakes.. It could be real time consuming and very costly.

It could also be that they didn't clean the surface of the rotor b4 they put the pads on, so that means that when you step on your brakes you are really rubbing off the preserved oil or grease that is on the rotor..
or that they could of also accidently left some grease on the inside of the pad(where the pad sits on the rotor) and that could cause a sqeeking noise... I know this was not the question but i thought i would share some input that i haev about brakes.. hope this helps some peeps out...
