Got the Shaft @ Raceworld show

I just wanted to vent a little.

I went to the Raceworld show this weekend and was looking forward to putting my car in the show at Square One Mall. I showed up a little early at 9pm Friday night since roll in was supposed to start at 9:30pm. We were told to line up our cars and prepare for roll in. Our cars are all lined up in single file waiting to get into the mall and its taking for ever for them to figure out where to put us. It was totally un-organized. You would think that since they had this show planned for over a month they would know how to bring the cars into the show and where to position all of them. All of the sudden some cars would show up and would get to roll in before everybody else. Ive never been to a show before so I dont really know how its supposed to work but its like a slap in the face when you have to wait patiently only to see guys showing up and getting right in just because there buddies.

I continued to wait patiently and now its been 3 hours. Finally I think Im going to get into the show when all of the sudden Im asked to go to the management office and talk to the guy. He says that he didnt realize it but he forgot that Shinzowerks has an exclusivity contract with Raceworld and that Im not allowed to enter the show because I do vinyl graphics. I felt so pissed off that I cant even explain it. I just wasted my whole night, got the car detailed that day and drove there for NOTHING! Actually he gave me a bottle of Meguire's Wax. BIG DEAL! It doesnt even come close to compensating me for the whole bullshit ordeal. It would have been nice to know this info before.

Anyways lets just say Im not happy with the way I was treated. I know a few guys that are in Raceworld and I have no problems with them. Actually they are great guys! I just dont think I want to support any Raceworld events in the future.

Thats really unprofessional. I mean you would think they would have thought about these sorts of things before hand instead of realizing it right then at show. Sorry to hear that.

hey mario dude im really sorry im the one who got u into this but i had no clue that this would happen.. all i kno that it was all fine as long u ain't selling anything u kno... like bro i got busy with **** at the show that i didn't get a chance to look after u and when all the cars where in.. i was looking around for urs and couldn't find it... i actually to them about that and a lil tick off too myself and felt bad dude.... u kno what im actaully gonna copy this post and show them how unsatisfy u are...

IM REALLY SORRY BRO... if it was up to me i wouldn't really care if shinzo was there... u ain't selling anything...

actually the reason for the long wait is that as u can see some part of sqr one is underconsruction so the old spot plans were scrapped and we had to make a whole new one on the spot... like where we plan to hve cars parked.. we were denied due to structural issues...

dude hope u still koo with me... really sorry

Thanks for your support guys it really does mean a lot. It sucked getting screwed like that this weekend and RW I know none of its your fault and Im glad you invited me in the first place. It would have been fun to have my car on display in a mall and talk with some of the other guys down there. I had my car detailed that day and even had a rental car booked for Sat so that I could get around this weekend. It was a major inconvenience that I was willing to take to get my car into its first show, it just sucks that I didnt get to show it in the end after all the preparation. Gusto your car looks sick in person and thanks for trying to talk to Dave! I was a bit shocked when I was sent home and I didnt want to burn any bridges with anyone so I just sucked it up... but deep down inside I felt like chucking that bottle of wax against a wall. haha.
I guess that the construction issue is a decent excuse for the major delay and unorganization it caused. The mall should of notified you guys prior to the show so that you could re arrange the layout. Anyways its all good Im not gonna let it eat at me, Ive got more important things to worry about.

OK way off topic. Sorry. Too bad your first show went down like this nitehawk. I'm sure your next one will be great, I can see already you're not gonna let this stop you from showing off next time.

Thanks Marco, I never even thought to call your cell. I guess I was just too upset and fed up to realize.
