tints
hey guys
well im getting my windows tinted for 120 + tip, so around 130-140 depending on how good the ppl are to me and my friends. we got a GB going down for it, me and 4 other guys so the place agreed to do it for 120 + tip (i went down and talked to them, nice ppl, the guys who do the tinting kind of expect a tip according to some guy who was getting it done at the time)
anyways, the place is down near york university, not even 5 minutes away. if anyone wants in, i can add you to the list to get this deal.
also, what kind of tints are good? not percentage, i know how dark im going, but what kind of film? anyone know what the best ones are called? and if ya know, plz tell me as much as ya can abt this film issue. whats the best, worst, good, bad, etc.
also, they guarantee their work against bubbles and all, unles you start intentionally screwing with the film. if there are bubbles, they rip the tint off and put a new peice, the dont fix it, just fully replace that window. lifetime warantee on all tinting.
if anyone wants in on this, you can call me.
me and my brother are going to get ours done prolly tuesday, for sure this coming week, but we are allowed to go seperately from us, dont all gotta go at the same time but ya just gotta mention you're part of the GB.
plz reply if ya got any knowledge/answers to the aforementioned questions!
thanks

Thanks BlueTroll! I called and they said thats what they use, so its a great price for a great film!
honda2k4- Id say go with 20%
I have a blue car and im probably going with 20s (%) in the front, 5s (%) in the back
Maybe have your whole car done 20s (%)
it looks good. or just come down, they have some cars tinted there, so look at theirs and decide. LMK if you in.

Sounds good Squeeze/Justin
Im not sure what ya gotta do for the warranty, whether its card or hold the receipt, but regardless of what it is, im just gonna leave it in my car somewhere. maybe in the glove with my insurance info. that way i wont lose it!
anyone else interested? gimme a shout by pm or call me. thanks

i got a full metallic tint at Tint king for about little under $200 (i think) but they did a really good job. Very happy with the quality of their work, and its lifetime gurante. got 20% at the front and 30% at the rear on my sedan.
My tint brand name is Solarguard by Bekaert Specialty Films...comes with a 5 year warranty against bubbling, cracking, fading etc. I have the NRGrey on mine and paid 140 taxes in for the whole car here in Barrie.

< $150 for good semi-metalic tint? I dunno.... That sounds fishy...
That sounds like Tint King prices.
I paid $250 for semi-metallic from FX Auto for 25% all around. I regret listening to the owner and getting the 3rd brake light cut out, and the windshield banner @ the same darkness; should be darker, 35% banner doesn't do ****.
(I think he lied, and just gave me 35% because I couldn't decide over 15% or 35%)

BlueTroll- thanks, im gonna call and prolly go check them out tomorrow and see their sample cars. i know they have a variety of tints and they cant afford to mess with us, cuz they are making nuff off this tinting GB here.
flip- did you make a mistake or did you actually get lighter in the back? cuz ive never seen lighter in the back so that comes as a surprise
chippy-chick- thats a good deal for one car! dayum!
anyways if anyone else is interested LMK

i'll ask them that tomorrow when i call or go down to check them out. and ill tell them who is coming and the cars they have. ill need your name, the color your car is it a coupe or sedan? (same price, id just like to describe well to them so no hassles)
if ya got any other questions lemme know and ill get you answers to them
BTW my third brake light came blacked out cuz i have a spoiler so the rear brake light came blacked out, i dont know why. but anyways i told them to just cut around it for my own reasons. however, if yours didnt come blacked out, lemme know and ill find out if they are taking your rear out to do it.

thanks for the interest vietdragon. as for the wanting to go dark but not illegal, you can go as dark as ya want in the rear but as for the fronts, legal is pretty light. im going a bit past the legal limit cuz whatever is legal looks SO close to stock that it saddens me.
anwyays, add me on msn to talk abt it, ill be awake almost all night studying for my exam!

last year i was part of a GB here... thornhill charged 200 for 4 doors and 180 for 2 doors.
i find that anything darker than 35 in the front is very hard to drive nite... i have troublr lookin out the rear at nite.... and its terrible when its rainin and at nite too... but it looks sick.

I went today to get the tint done. Very good job. Super fast..they have like 3 or 4 guys work on your car ( when i went it was empty by the way the just finished another car) Kevin the owner is a nice guy too, plus its life time warrenty so you can't lose.
SiG e told me that he told you he was charging 130.00 i didn't mind the extra 10 bux cuz its life time warrenty rite..so 10 bux isn't going to do much to me in the long run. I actually gave him 140 for doing it so fast. 3-4 guys helped out and got the job done really quick.
SiG ..left u the feedback..
20 is pretty dark at night..during the day its nice..but at night u hav to walk up close to see inside...i know the po po are gonna rape my azz...

Ok guys, I just talked to Kevin, the owner of the tint place.
He sent his apologies for charging the extra 10 to Squeeze but we have confirmed the price of $120 as the GB price for us.
Anyone who wants in, PM me for directions and what exactly to say in order to take advantage of this steal and a half!
