What Kind of Tires Do You Have?
What kind of tires do you guys have on your 17" rims?
I have Yokohama Parada Spec-2 tires and I'm getting a bit tired of them.. they make this constant whirling sound @ speeds between 48 to 68 km/h. It gets really annoying travelling at that speed so I always have to speed up to drive to 70 in a 60 zone... or I'll drive @ 45 in a 50 zone.
What tires do you guys use for 17" rims and what size are they?
Are they quiet or disgustingly loud?

205/45/16 Michelin Pilot Exalto's. Sick azz tire. I'm gonna get another set when I bump up to 17's. You should see the rooster tail I kick up in the rain...waaahooo!
I have liked my Kumho 712s alot, not too noisy and good solid summer traction. They aren't the best in rain however, but its a trade off.
I think I am going to go with Kumho MX's maybe next time around for more grip, but most likely will just get more 712s. THey are cost effective and work.

I have the Michelin Pilot XGT H4 215/40/R17. They are the same as come on the RSX-Type S. That's not why I bought them, but it's an intresting coincidence.
I don't notice any high noise level. The treadwear rating is very good.

I'll be taking a look at the Khumo ASX or whatever that one you guys said above (too lazy to look).. and the Michelin XGT H4. Those are my next 2 tires I will look at.
I can't find those Bridgestone ones mentioned above.

i am running Nankang and Kumho in 17s
not bad for the price and i can live with the noise
but remember, i switched from my 65 series all season to 45 series summer tires, and the noise is much louder, i guess that's the trade off for having low profile summer tires

That's odd, i have the Yoko Parada Spec 2 tires in 215/35/18 and i find them quiet compared to other tires i've had. I won't go with anything other than the Spec 2s, they look sic, and you should see how much water they evacuate in the rain!!!!
