Provinical Budget...any feelings?
anyone see the details of the provincial budget released yesterday? Looks like they are attempting to reduce out debt by 2008 ... health care and education getting some much needed funds .. Cigarettes, and alcohol will be rising in price ...
i have a feeling. I feel sick that I voted Liberal. Lying bast*rds! Every second thing that the Dalton government does breaks another election promise.
Between that and the d!ckhead PM we have now, I am NOT voting liberal again. Its a shame, because I really admired Cretien

it's basically a tax raise. ------> a broken promise.
yet, they havent said it directly, but it is.
it's good in one sense that some of the money is going to health care and education.
but in another sense, it's TAX RAISE.. which is now, ANOTHER broken promise.
im sure they could of done something else to support health care and education.
for ex. WTF are they doing with the money that they make on f u c k i n g parking tickets? that's a freaking multimillion dollar business that the government has running there. and that's just PARKING TICKETS ALONE...
minimum 20bucks here and there....
with each parking enforcer with a quota to meet...
let's JUST SAY they have to give out 200tickets a week
200 x 20
=4000
4000 x 52weeks
=$208000
that's just based on one parking enforcer
mutiple that by 100 parking enforcer (im sure there are wayyyyyyy more then 100 parking enforcer's in the city)
that will come out to just over 40 MILLION DOLLARS A YEARS.
and this calculations is ONLY BASED on 20dollar tickets
if you make a mininum 20g's a year to 38gs, you're getting tax an EXTRA minimum of $300 A YEAR...
making 20gs a year is NOTHING... it's hard enough to get by on that already.
with calculations, if you make at least 100g's or so... forgot the exact amount, you're only getting tax a minimum of $750 or so... to $900 tops. THAT'S NOTHING with ppl making that type of income.
but $300 at 20 or 25g's and up... that's riduculous

Ontario raises taxes, re-imposes health-care premiums

Yep cigarettes are $2.50 more per carton immediatly
The health premium tax goes up to a max of 900 (450 in 2004)
So there is more tax and they are cutting some things out of OHIP:
chiropractic services, optometry (ages 20-64), physiotherapy
They say they are adding 4.8 billion to health care though to increase availability.
The property tax credit increased to 625 from 500 (this is a good thing)

Ya between the cost of fuel and the taxes I would like to think I should see a salary increase too...hehe.
Oh well, as long as the $$ is being pushed into health care and education I'm aight with it.
more Fed money for the Military would be nice...

Well, our deficit in Ontario is getting big, but they want to improve Health care and education, so they need to raise taxes ... I don't agree with it but I see why there doing it ...
