So.. i'm guessing you never venture over the wheels tires and brakes forum very much do you...?

The answer is this, Get the Brembo Oem replacement rotors, with EBC greenstuff, or redstuff if you have fade issues, or get some porterfields, Zzyzx can give you all sorts of good info on those.

Slotted rotors don't dissapate heat any better than drilled, and drilled don't dissapate heat any better than regular rotors.

They used to cross drill rotors to allow gasses to escape from the brake pad. Cause what would happen would, be what's called "gassing out" it was a characteristic of the older brake pad materials where they would get very hot, and then basically turn into gas. And with no place for the gas to go, they'd basically cause the brake pad to hydroplane on the rotor. The solution was to drill holes in the rotor. This solved the problem but, removed mass from the rotor, which in turn would increase rotor temperatures. The holes would also start to crack due to hard track use.

The solution to the cracks, is the slotted rotor, which would provide a vane for the gas to escape from, without comprimising the integrety of the rotor. Another bonus is that they would prevent the pad from glasing "or having a buildup of carbon" that happens when a pad gets really hot.

Stopping distances.
Holes or slots can't make you stop any faster...
Stopping distance is determined by.... YOUR TIRES
Repeatable stopping distance is determined by your brakes resistance to fading.

Unless you have a serious fade issue, there is no reason to get bigger rotors.

IN CONCLUSION, Brembo oem replacement rotors are fine, as just get some decent pads, the Hawk pads aren't bad.
