i think that we need to form 2 teams, the 7thgen team and the can east import team.
people can be a part of both or just one, i would certainly want to be a part of both. the 7thgen team can be a more serious team and even affiliate its self with the can east import team.
i really dont know if this would work. but this ensures that the 7thgen team is a smaller more committed group while the can east import team will be a bigger and much more social group.
what do you guys think? can we make this work?
objections? opinions?

ok since i am one of the oldest on the sight, i am very wise and therefor my next 2sence should realy be thought about by everyone on this board. i know its cool to try and do something really big, and people tend to get excited when they thing about how big one of there ideas can grow. but the reality of it is this. how many times in 1 year do you think we would be able to get everyone involved in this club together. my guess would be NONE, ZERO, ZIPPO, NOTTA. it would be to big. if you are making it a can east club that means there could be peole involved in it from PEI to Windsor, and i'll tell you this much there's no way that any one from any of those to places or any points in between would want to drive more than 6hrs max to go to a yearly meet, never mind weekly or monthly get togethers. take a look at the meet last year, how many people from ottawa came down to niagara, no one even came from london and there 2hrs away max. and you know what it would've worked the other way too, because i can sure tell you i would not have made a 5hr drive to ottawa for a meet. so here's my idea. if anybody wants to make up there own club than do so, but keep it small, no one in your club should have to drive more than 45 min tops to get to a meet. SINCE we already have a governing body 7thgen just make a local club called O7G for Ottawa 7th gen, or L7G for London 7th gen, or T7G for Toronto 7th gen, etc.... im sure you get he idea. and if you want to invite peole from the board to a big yearly meet than do it using this forum. if you want your own forum on here than ask for one, if you want your own post than start one. this club thing is too BIG ya'll gotta keep it way smaller or else all we are going to have is a bunch of people b!tchn & complain on here because they never get to meet face to face. remeber the old saying K.I.S.S. what does us starting it have anything to do with anything else? When people talk about something they get excited and want a website, and stickers and a video and whatever. Just because we have a website doesnt mean all of a sudden anything changes so once again i fail to find you're point.
this site is to get information. The only way people get meets together is with there own organization. Its the exact thing im pretty sure people wanted to do with this whole idea.
why are u acting like this?? insulting everyone that has an opinion. U think with personal insults it makes me look worse?? U think i care if u think i go to tim hortons? They have good sandwiches so whats ur point?
as for the few meets a year:thats my opinion. Thats what i think would work....whats wrong with that?

Liro: I guess two teams would be alright. I think we can come up with a solution if everyone gives there OPINION.
EDIT: I think we need to establish what style of team this would be. Like if its really really serious, or just a name and some meets to get together and see peoples rides. <<Thats what i think it should be.

i say this because most of the people that have expressed an interest in track and show type committments have 7th gens here...

c) exclusive 7thgen can east team - geared towards track and show events
d) big 7th gen team - same concept as the can east import team in (a) but with only 7th gens and perhaps a more serious division

^^i agree with the relaxed meet type style, but i dont think we need two teams. Wont really make a difference cuz we will just have different names.
My question was "why cant we keep it SIMPLE". Having members from different areas in no way complicates things at all. If people dont wanna drive and come then thats there choice. You're answer was based more on the terms of participation rather than complication. Get what im sayin? Im just saying for my ideal team we dont need to be so serious about going to shows and excluding people because there cars wouldnt help us to victory. If there isnt enough people to make a team, and nobody wants to drive to meets then obviously the team will not work, i understand that, but thats not what i was asking. Hope that clears things up a bit.

Rep Power: 0 i understand tha you want to keep it simple, all im saying is whats the point of having a team that spans half the country. my idea of a team or group is a bunch of people who can get together on a regular basis. if you cant have that than whats the use of having anything at all. all we would have is what we have now on this website. a bunch of people that shoot the **** on the forms and have a big meet 1nce a year.
i think we already have a club, its called 7thgencaneast, and if anyone wants to get together on a weekly, biweekly or monthly basis than find people in your area and talk to them and than do like i said, call your self ottawa7thgen, or niagara7thgen, etc... you get the pic

we have meets from this site all the time, viclx organizes a couple big ones every year, we meet cause of this site...but pro is saying is that a meet for a club, what you have in ottawa thats more of a team...or a chapter of this site....
