Rep Power: 0 Engine bay cleaning in the GTA (pref in Mississauga)
Anyone know of a good and cheap place to get my engine bay washed? Holy crap it's filthy! There's even freakin sand in there! whoah! Just wondering, will the store/detail place cover up my intake (i have an FIPKII) before washing? How much am i looking to spend on this?

Rep Power: 0 i suggest Fine Details cuz i used to work there and i cleaned enough dirty engine bay while i was there
but i dont like the idea of washing my own engine, i just get some all purpose cleaner and a wet cloth and spray and wipe
good luck with the selection

Rep Power: 0 Is there anything else to cover up besides the intake? Some guys mention the electrical sensors?!?! Which ones?! Where???
Is it better to start the car and keep it running while you hose it down, or keep it off? If you keep it on while you let it soak, I'm thinking you're going to get some REAL nasty smells, and marks from the SimpleGreen foam drying up on the header area?!
I usually just shove a big sponge into my stock intake, and then cover it up with a plastic bag, and tie it off with an elastic..... (with the engine turned off)... Though I've only hosed it, no SimpelGreen.
