I liked the concept of Se7en so I was trying to think of an acronym CE7IN (Can East Import Nation) that describes the team well and still appeals to everyone whether you drive a 7th gen, RSX, EL or an older civic.

It is just a suggestion and Im sure that there will be probably be more but if everyone likes it and wants to use it than Im honoured.

I'm putting my vote down for CE7IN. It has a good ring to it and everything. So count that as 1 vote.


I can provide web services (site, domian and webspace) if you want to make a club website with member lists/profiles, a registration and the rules etc. I won't take offence if someone else wants to cover all that.

Ok got a PM and asked what I think about this. I think its pretty cool that we are planning to have a bunch of cars in one club. But I think your jumping ahead of yourselves a bit. Now your talking about car shows and meets and how cool it would be to meet up. As far as i know we would be up for maybe 1 big meet this summer and maybe one car show out of town. I personally think that it would get super expensive to travel anymore then that. I think it would be different if we were going to meet like 2 times a month and attend more car shows together. I think we should look beyond the fact that people think this would look cool. Who cares what people think of our "team". We should be doing this cause we want to not because we think its cool. When you go and buy clothes do you think "wow if i get this everyone will think its cool". No you get what you want cause you like it. As far as who is worthy...we have to understand that there are people who want to join up but have no expectation of modding there car. The ottawa group never had a concern about that before. **** we have a rusty crx that WILL kick everyones *** at a race. Is he not worthy? He has more mods then anyone in the Ottawa club. I think we need to find out what we plan on doing to even support the name "TEAM". I think we should be original and pick our own team name. So everyone say thanks to player for asking me what I thought. I thought you guys knew better by now lol.

Caryn: I think you're over analyzing things. Jeremy is definately a part of this along with Kevin if he wishes. 1 meet here and there would be plenty for me but I could do the GTA more because I go there about 4 times in the summer. People are excited about this for all the right reasons. Some of them have done shows and some of them would like to. My personal opinion is that I really like the idea of uniting the whole Canada East forum into one group.

Mike if everyone wants this then thats great lets do this. But from what I have read is that people are doing this cause they think it looks cool. Not very many people mentioned that it would be great to see everyone on the team and see what people have done to there cars. It is just comming accross as an image thing and how people will react to 70 7th gens cruising down the street. If this is going to be about representing the club, being able to see 70 7th gens parked and actually being able to talk to the member about what he/she has done to his/her car then I'm in. BTW the Ottawa crew knows that Jeremy is part of the club but it has been stated that if we join this other club the only cars able to join are imports, clean, no rust with mods.

I say the whole point is too have fun!! Lets ease up on all the other stuff, and do something for fun! I think its fun crusing around in a big line-up, and thats prolly why we do it in the summer...cuz its fun!!! Im sure others have other motivations, or things to get excited over, but the bottom line is everyone loves cars and talking about them and being around different ones, so I think we dont really need to worry about the other things

Yeah I wasn't too excited about joining the other club about the intentions to mod statement, my car would still be stock if I didn't get into an accident. But I also don't really like seeing cars with ply wood body kits But I'm not going to judge people based on what they drive but on how they act.

I encourage this b/c it's a good way for us to be more organized so we can meet up more, and we'll have our own locations so people in the area can have mini meets. The major one's will put a hole in my pocket I'm only a student but I'm willing to make long trips. Usually when I see a meet it's too late for me to plan.

the name Se7en does mean 7th gen civic. its just a nem and an idea, plus ce7in fits nice cause it actually mean can east import nations.

i think some people are taking this too seriously, its all about the fun and making friends. maybe get some stickers have a fancy site, thats it. it doesnt matter what u drive or how your car looks, my car is almost stock, but i enjoy hangin around with the ottawa crew becase we are a bunch of poeple who share the same hobbie and interests.

a couple of mini meets, one big meet, a picnic, whatever happens happens, its all about the fun and making friends.

i think you pretty much nailed it, latter down the line motivations might change but essentially this should be the main premise of this club. of course it would be nice as well to represent this in shows and so forth but the sole purpose should be just to have fun.

absolutely. What I was really after when I started this thread/poll was to unite the Canada East forums and build up a team from those members and whoever else we could encourage through those members, like some of us have friends in other clubs/sites and so on.
Fun is the first and most important thing. Everything else (as said above) will happen on it's own.

Ok sounds good. It just sounded like we were doing this for the wrong reasons but the last couple post have convinced me. If fun is all were after I think this is a good idea. BTW I like the name ce7en, we could even have something in small letters below it saying what city we represent.

i actually just emailed player telling him how enjoyable it can be to meet a lot of different people with similar cars to see the different things that they have done and the intentions they have...meeting new people from all over is always a good thing as well....

im not sure if i really really like the canada east import nation name..simply because of the word nation....'civic nation' type thing...i really dont know why and i dont want to go against anyone its jus something about that word i dont know... but it does flow really nicely...what about canada east import
