If you knew more about the act and your insurance contract than your agent, why were stating that your agent told you that the $1500 covers all modifications? ... You seem like an intelligent person, from what you've posted, and it looks like you know a lot more than the average person regarding insurance...I wasn't debating you, i was letting you know what the terms and conditions of the contract and Act are ... Your agent doesn't sound like he knows all that much, which is typical since its their job to sell insurance, not handle the claims ....

When I was stating insurance agent I was refering to the person who handled my accident in september. I think the problem here is that we both have gotten different info. I am not saying that you are wrong, cause i believe you are right when it comes to most companies. I just think my insurance company is alot different.

maxsin is an unknown quantity at this point
Well, I think that the insurance companies have to protect their interest.

An example would be a motified civic, the only modification to the civic is an aftermarket stearing wheel, with no airbag. Is it right for a insurance company to cover a civic in which the company thinks has a airbag? The insurance premium needs to be adjusted to the cars overall safety, IMO.

Also, I have no idea, but that is why I am asking. Does an aftermarket front bumper kit have any effect on the deployment of the SRS(airbag)?

Well, the Personal is a direct writer but they are a good company ... I have delt with them before, and I have never had any problems ... To be honest, they are just like every other company that directly writes insurance to the public ...

I would doubt that adding an aftermarket bumper would effect the safety of the car, I believe the sensors for the airbags are located in the hood ... but as far as your example of the airbag being removed, that WOULD affect the safety of the vehicle and your AB benefits

I hadto deal with them in Sept when a punk hit my car at 3am while it was parked. I was not happy with the way they handled the claim and had to constantly go back to my contract and the act to verify what they were telling us. Found out very fast that I was not being told the whole truth and being lied to. It had gotten to the point that we thought we might of had to take them to court.

No, nothing like that was damaged. To much to list, they just gave us the run around.
