This is NOT a for sale thread.... Just wanting to know what you guys think the going price would be for this:
1998 Acura 1.6EL Premium
- Black exterior, black leather interior, 5 speed manual, moon roof, OEM 15" alloys, fully loaded, CD, tape, radio, AC, PW, PL, leather steering wheel, heated front seats, approx. 110,000km. Mint condition.
1) What do you think dealer would pay to buy this car?
2) What do you think someone would pay to buy this car?
3) What do you think someone with alot of car knowledge (like you) would pay to buy this car?
Also, do you think it's a good idea to trade in my 2001 Acura 1.7EL silver, auto, premium edition, ~80,000km, for this car???

If it's a straight trade? No. If you get money back... Maybe. I would guess that your car trades for about $18k at the dealer, and this 98 is probably worth $15k coz it's Honda.
Don't trade in your auto and lose depreciation just because you want a manual! haha...

Not a straight trade...
The 1.6EL is my brother in law's car, and he's trading it in for a BMW 540xi or something like that... They're raping him with the trade in value (well below $10k.)
So, since the car's been winter-stored, no scratches or abuse whatsoever on the 1.6EL, I figure it may be a good idea to try to sell my 1.7EL, and just get the 1.6EL. It's a pure stock car, though he can throw in a Tenzo strut bar, and a SRI (he's a ricer, he believes an SRI gave him 15hp
)
They're paying no where NEAR $15k for trade in. My br-in-law is offering to sell for $11,500 OBO, and there are still no takers....

Not really a fair trade, Fuzzy, you'd best get a few grand back. But the EL is a solid car, and the 96-00 generation is more easily motor-swapped....

Remember that if you trade in, you don't have to pay income tax. So if you get rid of your car first, by personal sale, the current owner has to include that $15000~ish as income! So typically, you would have to pay like $3000 in income tax!!!!!!
Sucks to sell used car.

Create an OffTopic and/or CanEast forum on ClubEL, and I'll boogey over there more often
I don't post here much either, except for CanEast/OT... ClubSI OT is simply jokes, and GOOD

The OffTopic here, at least the CanEast OT, has less freedom than CSI's OT...
I don't have access to the 7thgen's 'real' OT section, since it's pay only...
i.e. CanEast OT doesn't allow pr0n links, etc. CSI is no holds barred

We do have off topic section and we're not nearly as big as 7thgen.com so if we split the forum 50% will be from can east so there is no point really.
