When it rains, it POURS!

They say when a bad thing happens to someone in a family, it carries over to the rest of the members.... this is especially true involving cars. My insurance broker even warned me!

A couple of weeks ago, my brother's beater Cavalier gets broken into. Window was popped out (testamonial to GM quality) and his $150 Clarion CD deck was stolen. No big deal. Ego hurt, dash ripped.

Just a few days ago, he was driving to Ottawa in his 2001 Celica. 4am, a deer jumps out in front of him. He managed to avoid it, but the deer paniced and ran INTO the car! The front bumper, hood & fender callapsed. The deer spun around, and it the rear panels as well, adding more damage the rear flank.

My father warned me: be careful! Next night, I was driving home from Richmond Hill... I thought about his advice. So I took the LONG route, because the short route has deers jumping out time to time. Well guess what--3 fu*king deers jump out in front of me!! Luckly, I had an intuision 1 second prior to that, and I slowed down from 60km/h to 30km/h for no reason.

So my brother gets a rental car... so he left his Cavy in the drive way, with my father's minivan behind it. My father decides to take the minivan out, so he tried to move the Cavy. Except it's manual tranny, and the clutch is really funky on it. You gotta BURRY the clutch deep into the carpet, for the car to start. Well, it wouldn't start for him cause he didn't press it far enough. Car started to roll. And you know what happens to GM cars when they are not on--the steering & brakes seize! He almost T-boned an oncoming car... and almost went into a head-on collision with our neighbour's truck across the street.

All avoided by just inches...............................

I don't know what's next!! Feels like The Final Destination!

Quick, run as fast as you can, straight into a tree! That'll end the string of bad karma! Then go donate your rims to charity; to me!

No??? I kinda believe in the bad karma **** comes in triples..... So I run into a tree at terminal speeds to run the numbers up to 3..... Or have I been doing that too much?!

Hey 01Coupe, check your battery terminal clamps! My car would just die for no good reason when I tried to start it, especially when it was damp or humid out, turns out there was corrosion between the terminals and the clamps, even though it all looked fine and the battery and alt were pumpin juice. My clamps had bent slightly from when I installed my system. Replaced the clamp with one of those beefy allen-key-lockin ones. Perfecto.
