Future of this community?
I am curious, what will happen when we sell our civics, or when lease is up? will people here continue drving new Civics? 2004, 2005, 2006 ...... etc etc?
Or is everyone here going to get something else, sooner or later?

Considering how well my El has treated me (and how much I've babied it) it will take a LOT to keep me off the import bandwagon. Next car: 2nd-gen TSX!!!!

a civic is good enough for me... next car is prolly a family car in five - ten years or so. hahaha.
even if i get a sedan, im still souping that up. lol
plus.. any more hp for me, insurance will be too crazy for me.
haha. ya man... colorado is stacked!
iffy on their goaltender though... he does deserve a shot... but not sure if he's ready. as for now.. the offence will support his ***. haha
i'd say they make an attempt at joseph... while detroit carries most of his salary still. hahaha.
and ify ou think about it.. leafs have a stack team also, dont knowhow they blew that first game...
one things for sure... why the heck did sundin, nolan, and renberg play on the same line? thats stupid! ... lost 4-0 'cause of that.
they need sundin and molginy together..
getting totally off topic now. haha..
there's a hockey/ottawa thread in the ottawa forum. haha.

As far as the Leafs/Montreal game goes, I agree with you, Pat should have put Sundin with Mogilny. Did you notice, he spread out all the GOOD players over 4 lines! that's dumb, he should have put Sundin / Mogilny, Joe / Nolan as first and second lines, that would RULE!
haha.. ya.
colorado didnt pick up cujo off the waivers is 'cause of his salary.. if they picked him up, would of taken the remainder of his contract.
you have to give Aebischer a chance too... b4 colorado traded for Roy a few years ago... they were in first place with Aebischer in goal... but of course you cant pass on a goalie like Roy. haha.
as long as joseph says he wants to go to colorado.. they will most likely have to trade him there, as for sure, detroit does not want to carry his 16million dollar contract as a bench warmer. haha....
plus.. colorado would have to show interest as well.
ya man.. you said it. haha.. sundin w/ mogilny... and joe w/nolan and roberts.
stick nik and renberg on the third line...w/ like tucker or someone. haha.. whoevers left.

im definately gettin a different car in the future....prolly a wrx or something...civic is just too slow for me...dont get me wrong...i love it....but theres always time where u need to upgrade.
Yeah I thought about this long and hard as well. My lease will be up in December 2005 on my 2002 Civic sedan. But I am 29 right now and i have a wife and child. I wanna buy a house, so I will most likely buy out the car at lease end (mother in-law is paying for the lease payments), it is costing me $10,650 to buy it out. I just dont want to have to end up getting into another 4 year lease or a financing situation , I could use that money for a mortage payment on a house. so first I save $10,600 + taxes for the car buyout and then downpayment for a house. So I will be here for some time, dont get lonely people. Where else can you get a brand new civic for $10,600 :-) I am sure this baby will last me until at least $200K,. Btw, off topic but does anyone have any hookups for mortage approvals in the GTA area. I just need to get approved for a house, the mortgage will take care of itself, through rental revenue.

I guess we all want something better sooner or later, as of right now it looks like me and my civic will be sticking together for some time but in the future its anyones guess.
Originally I assumed that I would have my Civic for the 5 years that I am paying for it and then moving on to something else when I become a CA. But the more I have my civic the longer i think i want to keep it. I may try to drive it for a few years after its paid for and save up for something quite nice.

I'm liking the look of the TSX a lot, but plan to keep my Civic for another 2-4 years at least. Will be getting a new car for my wife first, thinking of a Mazda6 hatch/wagon with V6
The Civic is a nice little car, I mean really, how often can we actually go faster than 100km/h in the GTA, it is gridlock 95% of the time!!! Of course this is easy for me to say, cuz I donbt have the $$ to upgrade, perhaps my opinion will change when more mulla comes in !!
Take the odometer reading from your cars, and divide it by the hours you have spent in the car, I bet you it will average out to 60-80 km/h, hardly justification to upgrade :-)
