if iw ere to put them on the side.. like i see other cars that has it done.. do they buy a new side panel? or do they just drill holes in 'em>???
'cause my panels are all vinyled.. so im just curious

can someone please explain what each aftermarket gauges exactly does>?
oil presure.....
water/oil tempature.....
volt....
air fuel ratio....
i sort of know what the volt one does. i think...
the oil presure... does it measure how good the oil is in your car? of course im not talking about the gasoline..... haha o_O
the water/oil temperature.... is that the same one that honda provides us with on our oem dash? .. where our speedometer is.?
air fuel ratio is the one i want to know most about... 'cause i know nothing about this one. i read the lil' info that they provided on the site.. but did lil' help to me.
thanks.
oh ya.. one more thing? aren't most gauges 2.1/16" ?? 'cause the faze gauges are 2"
just wondering, thanks again

and what's the major/minor differences between the mechanical/electrical gauges..? 'cause they are all 2" dial face.
the ppl that are in the group buy... sedanboy.. or telly.
which ones are you purchasing? and if they're the oil pressure or the water/oil temperature.... are you getting the mechanical or electrical onee...? and why>?
thanks again.

i'm picking up the a/f and volt, along with the pillar pods.
as for the diff between electrical and mechanical, if i'm not wrong, the mechanical gauges, oil for example, you need to tap and run and oil line to the gauge itself, whereas the electrical gauges usually have a sensor that you tap into the oil pan or whereever.
maybe telly can elaborate or correct me on some of this.

Sedanboy is right - mechanical gauges by definition tap into the line that they are monitoring. The water/oil temp gauge is a perfect example, as there are both electronic and mechanical versions.
The mechanical gauge is tapped right into the line that the oil/water actually goes through (or the oil pan, I read up on installin mech gauges but that was a while ago....I'm stupid) - you will have to cut hose/pipe/metal to fit the sensor on then run it into the car and then into the gauge.
The electrical version taps into the pre-existing wire (leading to ECU I surmise, someone please correct me if I'm wrong here) that leads from the thermostat.
I personally prefer the possibility of futzin up a wire as opposed to an oil/water line, so I would go electrical myself. But my volt and a/f gauges are both electrical only anyhoo.
