How long can you wait to pay a speeding ticket? Do you have to pay it right away or do they give you time to pay it off?

I think you need to pay it whithin 15 days, if you take longer than it automatically goes to court and you cna plead guilty, innocent, or guilty with an explanation, or hope the cop doesnt show up

DONT PAY RIGHT AWAY. What you need to do is check the wavier box on the back and mail it in. And when you go to court say you gulity. After that they will let you explain and then tell you to go to the cashier and pay there. Make sure you have enuff for the total of the ticket. The cant make it higher then the ticket. That is what I had to do. But they caught me. What they do is make the ticket cheaper right. Then the court fee added to the lower ticket price was = to the price of the ticket. They think they slick. lol. But yea. Sorry to hear. Good luck man.

first off how fast were you going, go to court if you dont want any points, when there plead either guilty or guilty with an explanation and let the judge tell you what to do from there, if the cop is not there then your ticket will be dismissed. sorry for what happen and good luck.
