Help with Head Gasket in NoVa

Is there anyone within driving distance of Quantico (22134) that could help me to take care of this head gasket?

https://www.civicforums.com/forums/2...-gremlins.html

I know a bunch of folks on here consider this an 'easy' job, but to me.... not as much. So if there's anyone nearby that considers this 'easy' and would let me pay them less than a shop would charge to do it, shoot me a reply or PM, please. I'll buy the materials (I'll even take your recommendations as to what brand of gasket if you have any experience) and pay for any machining that needs to be done, but the actual work is something that I'm just not up for. Thanks!

Let me know if you find anyone willing to do it for a decent price. I believe my head gasket is blown as well, but I'm just gonna keep refilling my car with water every saturday until it really goes.

I've solicited some people on craigslist to gauge how much they would charge for the labor. I got 3 quotes. $500, $420, $400. It's about a 6-8 hour job I think. The head gasket kit is around 100 bucks I believe.

I think I may be moving on to changing the engine entirely, if you know anywhere to get a decent engine, someone offered to do the swap for $200. Now I just need an engine and a way to get it all in the same place...

Really $200? If he's lookin for some work I'd be happy to pay him to do mine. I just have to find an engine as well. Is this a deal between you two or can I get that price as well?
