knowing VA it probably is. Everything is illegal there!! Anyway, most camera systems, if zoomed in enough, can still get your plate. I really don't know if they work or not

I have a plastic cover for my license and haven't had any probs *knocks on wood* Depending on what branch you got the ticket from (state or county) go to the closest station and show them the ticket and show that the cover doesn't deflect light, obscure the plate, etc, etc. and they might drop the ticket..or at least reduce it

They are illegal in VA, but you can always say that theyre just clear ones. I doubt you'll ever get a ticket for them, so I wouldnt worry. Theyre especially good for DC at night!

They say that they are illegal in VA cause there are some that can be bought on the internet that can actually deflect a speeding camera taking a picture of your plate...solely for that purpose ....thats why they dont want you to have them so they can catch you out there more, you know ...at those red lights late at night on those lonely roads when no one is around and looking ,you just ease on through the light ...lol like me
