I don't think this has been posted before. I want to apologize in advanced if it has. Here's a petition to drop the law requiring the use of a front license plate on NYS cars and a few good reasons why. If your sick of having a front plate, bolt marks on your rear bumper because of people do not know how to park, or because it blocks the air flow going through your intercooler, then sign this please!!!

Sign it anyway, and help people from NY out. It's a step closer to getting rid of NJ's front plates too. If NY doesn't use it, then why should NJ?

Well not to pee in anyones Cheerios or start a political isse or anything but.... Redlight cameras and Tollbooth cameras.
Your face in the same frame as your plate goes a long way in enforcing those.
Fine money goes further than scrapes on your bumper as far as the state is concerned. Believe me... I feel the pain, my car is trashed in less than a year of street parking.

I don't know about any other states, but in NY our cameras shoot the rear plates. That goes for toll boths and traffic light cameras. I speak from experience lol.

look at MA even. it all depends on what color your plates are, green or red...

whats the issue anyway? are front plates that much of a problem? i dont get it. they take a pic of your rear plate at toll booths anyway.

Its ALL about the looks...and the rear of the car clean because of street parking in NYC...I go to city everyweek...The street parking is nightmare...
