My friend is giving me his 300zx. The tranny's busted (can't go in reverse) and the engine has 200,000+ miles on it. I checked the guy I was originally going to buy my K20A Type-R from, and he has the twin turbo engine w/ tranny for only $1,799. So the dillema is this. I want to get all the work done before registering/insuring the car. The only way I can think of doing that is getting the car to the shop and leaving it there, then having the title changed over to my name. But if thats not possible, I'd really prefer to get the work done locally in Rochester. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
