Well, it finally happened, someone tried to break into my car

Yup, went outside to clean my car today and couldnt open the door. i went in through the passengers side and tried to force the lock up from the inside, didnt work. I go back to the drivers side and see that where you put the key in was pushed all the way in and was scraped to ****. now im pissed cause I have never used my key to open the door, so there hasnt been any key marks on the lock before. I already have an idea of who might have done it

what they were trying to do was push the key hole all the way in causing the lock to break, then be able to take off the door handle easily to open the door. they did it wrong, they pushed down on it, just breaking the latch making it impossible to open the door no matter what.
